We are in a relegation battle - 2 wins in the last 12 premier league games. After we play WB & CP we got RS and Chelsea (not sure how many games we will win if any in the next four games).

Last 12 Premier League games

Team Won Draw Lost
Everton 2 4 6
Villa 2 6 4
West Brom 3 2 7
Palace 2 5 5
Sunderland 2 6 4
Burnley 4 4 4
Hull 2 2 8
QPR 3 3 6
Leicester 2 2 8

We're not getting relegated!

If we finish below any one of QPR, Leicester, Aston Villa or Burnely I'll... take a forfeit of some kind.

Stop being so melodramatic, you lot.

Joel
Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines
Besic McCarthy*
Mirallas** Barkley Naismith
Lukaku
*If not available then Barry
** If not fit enough to start then Oviedo

Just because we ain't getting relegated doesn't mean we ain't going to have to battle to get away from the relegation dogfight.

Really don't want to see this, but wouldn't be surprised if he goes with it again.

Yep, at this point I'd prefer to see Oviedo play as a winger. Naismith's done alright on the left IMO, sadly Barkley hasn't capitalised on getting played in his preferred position the last 2 games.

Everton 5 WBA 0

I'd go with this team too. If we can't give West Brom a game under the lights at Goodison, then we can truly say we're in a relegation battle. A win would still see us sit at 12th, but we need to start widening this gap. The next three are crucial games, WBA - palace away and the RS at our place. I'd say that's at least 6 or 7 points if we put a similar shift in to the Hammers game.

I fear for us here. Pulis will do a job and we all know martinez doesn't consider what the opponent can do - he stubbornly thinks it's all about our own possession. Neither does he care about conceding goals or losing games - a disgraceful assertion for any manager and something which he feels he can justify by saying he is not interested in percentage football whatever that means.

1-1 for me followed by 0-2 at palace the following game.

Whatever the result you can be sure that ..pre match "this game is pivotal" "this game could kick start our season" post match "I think we showed great character" "I thought we deserved more" "we are not having much luck with referees"
What you won't hear is......"our defense made schoolboy errors" "some players need a kick up the arse" "the sooner these players realise they are being dragged into a relegation battle the better"

Every manager says the same things. What I'm interested in is turning things around, and not getting an admission that things are going badly for Martinez, from the man himself. Why some fans are hell bent on him coming out and admitting he's been getting it wrong is beyond me, because I don't get what it'll achieve. He's showed with his changes he's trying to find a solution and things have improved of late.

Acceptance is the first step on the road to recovery, until Martinez accepts that it is not down to poor refereeing, bad luck etc. but his match tactics then not much will change, I believe every word that he was persuaded by Lukaku/other players
to change tactics which was the beginning of our recent improvement, that shouldn't have been necessary.

Maybe they want a verbal response from the manager because there's been no response on the pitch in terms of the unfolding crisis.

Pulis believes in percentages that's why he gets results and why he'll get another one on Monday.

Oh, and here's another percentage for you - we're in the bottom 50% of the league and in falling and dead bottom of the form table.
