So, if we lost that you would be for binning him?
If we continue our up turn in performance and still get beat I would give him a bit longer
The worry for me is getting into a relegation scrap with these players they are not used to it.
We have also got into a habit of not winning and need to break that habit.
If after the next 4 games we are in the bottom 4 he needs to go but hopefully we will have won 3 of them

I've said no. While we've improved greatly we're still not out of the doghouse yet. We're showing real fight unlike the last couple of games but it all comes down to West Brom now. Nothing but 3 points will do against these. Then we have a tricky game with Palace away and then the dreaded "Gerrard's last derby" where he's sure to get everything he wants from the ref. If we can get 7 points from these 3 I'll be happy. We just desperately need these next 2 games to be wins to go into the derby full of confidence.

Tonight and city proves why.

He must stay

We have still only won one game since the start of december.

We are out the f.a cup after having a home tie to begin with.

We are still 3 points from the relegation zone and apparently 19 points worse off than last season.

Take pride from last night but we are still in a dogfight for the forseeable future.

It's a sad state of affairs if what is essentially 2 draws, but admitedly 2 good performances, means he's off the hook.

As mentioned before I'd much prefer to play crap and skank 1-0 wins.

Performances mean very little in a results based business.

Next two league games coming up are massive, we're in a real dogfight if we don't get at least 4 points from them. If we don't, it could, and should be curtains for him.

Have to agree.

But hopefully won't need to come to that.

That was West Hams strongest side. We had a lot of senior players still out. So a weakened side gets a draw at the home of one of the leagues high flying clubs (press speak apologies)

I'd say ITS ON!........again

howard for robles, ok
mccarthy out, fair
Mirallas came on and should have started

Were we really shorn of our senior players? Jagielka Baines Coleman Barkley Lukaku Stones Barry Besic - all first team players. not sure we can claim injuries

Last season wasn't a fluke, but last season was the perfect amalgam of Moyestinez. The Moyes attitude has now dissipated, and we are seeing RM's true colours.
Them colours have been brown to be honest, can't just blame him though. A few players have been garbage this season + injuries + Europa.

Mirallas was on the bench because of an ankle problem but if he had started instead of McGeady......
McCarthy is still miles ahead of Besic in terms of passing. Too many times Besic was unaware when receiving the ball so he played backwards.
Howard for Robles......usually. Thats 3 out of 11. But its strenght in depth. Options from the bench that's also missing.

My point is we played very well for a team regaining confidence after a shocking run at the home of one of the newspapers current favourite underdogs.

the quegs are delighted martinez has played ross out of form with that winger tosh, for some reason people seem to want him to fail, I'd never act in that way to an everton player, its appalling. Him and besic have played together once in cm and produced a display barry and mccarthy aren't capable, once one of martinez's bum boys was available aging they were shunted out. theres a place for mccarthy, i think we overate him a bit, its not like he is snederlin, but while martinez has these total blind spots over players, i'm going to be cagey about him, i wouldnt sack him, and will review my opinion at the end of the season. But ever since the hibbert at left back incident i've had real doubts

:Blink::Blink::Blink:

I do love the way Bobby celebrates a goal, seemed really up for the game last night and looked like he was kicking every ball. If a manager cares about us that much, I care about him too. He needs time and a slight change in philosophy and address this ridiculous weakness at set pieces.

Some of the stats from this season are worryingly bad, and the number of injuries has been costly - I read we had something like 11 hamstring injuries so far this season. Hopefully we can turn it around I think Roberto definitely needs a third season - just not if it looks like that will be in the championship. If we don't see results in the next few games, it's not going to be looking good.

Looking at our performances compared to last year, you have to say Martinez out. We are not performing anywhere near the heights of last season, many will put it down to 'being found out' or 'second season syndrome' - but whatever the reason is it's very worrying because not once this season have we looked as defensively solid last year, or as much of an attacking-imposing threat.

Too often this year we are having to rely on the brilliance of an individual to turn a game for us or to create a goal, i'm looking at you super Kev for this here example, instead of having the confidence as a team to produce. Amongst this we've also over-hyped a lot of our younger players, or the media have, creating a seemingly hostile environment for them at the moment because of how much most Everton fans expect of them, and probably had a detrimental effect on some of our players.

This ultimately has been a benefactor that has led to our poor results, which are very poor results. With saying all this, last night I took pride in how we played, just like I did against West Ham in the first game and against Man City on the weekend, however reflecting on it - we've just been knocked out of the cup when we were in a strong position to win the game despite our earlier shenanigans. This is somewhat of a let down, and whilst we are improving, I in particular am finding it hard to see our next victory. Something needs to change.
