Born in this City, live grew up and went to school here, an my opinion is there are more reds but 90% would'nt have a clue about anything apart from 5 european cups and 19 titles, glory hunting fckrs the lot of them

Slightly off topic, but I thought it's a story that needs telling.

A few years ago, just before Brendan Rodgers came in, towards the end of Dalglish's reign, I went to meet a couple of my mates at the bar in the Adelphi in town. There was a fella in there dressed in an all white LFC tracksuit, you could tell he was obviously foreign.

Me and my other blue mate gets talking to this guy (as you do when you see a beaut like this). Turns out he's Norweigan, he spoke fluent English though. We asks him who he thinks Liverpools best player had been that season, his reply ''JohnArne Riise'' queue hysteria from me and my mate, at first we thought he'd misunderstood us, as Riise hadn't played for them for a number of years, so we asks again ''no this season mate''. His answer was still the same, me and my mate just looked at him puzzled.
He takes his LFC tracksuit top off, and shows us that seasons shirt, turns around and he's got Riise on the back. At this point even my red mates had come over to have a giggle. The lad was absolutely devastated when we told him Riise no longer played for them and hadn't for a number of years.

He also thought Rafael was still there manager, but at this point we didn't even find that funny, just sad.
They really are bells.

Depends what you call supporter- here in Canada a lot of Liverpool and Man United fans- but not die hards, didn't watch most games like we do with Everton. As for the city Itself- when I was there on the street we were surely more visible, but can't say cause I don't live there.

There's fans and then there's supporters. Through thick and thin no matter where we live and how our club is doing we support Everton. They have "fans" who change clubs about as often as there underwear. 1 Evertonian is worth 20 of them so on that basis alone we outnumber them in the city ;)

There are many who will follow the winning teams because their lives are in need of enrichment - in that lot's case they've been letting the worldwide fans down for decades. The clearances of the Everton area in the 60s and 70s sent loads of Blue families out to Skem and Kirkby etc - the subsequent relative success of that lot and our trophy drought means they will be bound to have more "so-called" fans in the past few decades - though I'd practically disown my lad if he wasn't a Blue. As far as match going fans are concerned (the word is SUPPORTER) easily more local Blues than Reds as the outsiders going to Goodison are very much in the minority whereas the town is full of foreigners and out-of-towners when that lot are playing (a large number of tickets are sold by season-ticket holders and scalpers who own several seats). Over here in the Wirral villages it is massively more Blues than Reds but I would say in Birkenhead itself a large proportion of Dark Siders. So - more of them professing to be Reds but more of us are true followers.
