Roberto Martinez discussion

This dressing room plot to oust the manager, the same manager they all played well under last season and spoke highly of him.

If barry was a bad apple he wouldn't be martinez's bum boy, likewise osman offered a new deal.

Only issue seems to be with Dustbin and since then he has been part of the side again. People just need to accept martinez has seen his arse this season.

Hahahahaha another peach; how did I plot his downfall.

Oh yeah I forgot, i've been secretly tapping the players up and telling them to go against the manager.

In fact I bumped in to Tim Hoard just before christmas in Tesco, I said "Tim, what you need to do is fake an injury, so Robles plays and we can be even worse then we already are". Suprisingly enough, he agreed.

I aleady proved you wrong off the other week when I posted my praising of him, i'm not going to hide and say I didn't want him in, because I didn't. We are playing awful, hes the manager with no idea and takes the brunt of the blame for his selections and tactics.

And your friend Roberto is sounding more delusional than Brendan and your becoming more of conspiracy theorist than those neighbours of ours; players feigning injuries to get the manager sacked, pack it in

You hated this manager from the get go. Anyone doubting that need only look at your posting on the subject of Martinez.

It's laughable that you're now trying to promote youreself as an honest broker now that you feel a tipping point has been reached in your favour.

Do you not read, i've just admitted I didn't want him in the first place. Still got behind him last season, so your post is, how they say...irrlevant

Since Palace I've voiced my concerns, and guess what i've been proven right.

Have you got your tinfoil hat on?

I've never needed one of them. I read things very clearly and they show that you were never in favour of the manager EVEN when we were riding high last season.

Well thats just a lie.

Before the season, yes, i did.

Opinions through games where i think he made mistakes, yes; like most.

Calling for his head, errrr no

Both the players and the manager are at fault. You can say that ultimately we've been hit hard by injuries and by poor refereeing but at the end of the day this is the card we've been dealt, and you have to play football inspite of that.
The manager has control off the pitch in the style he coaches the players in, tactics, and who he selects for games.
But once the players cross that white line the manager has little control. The onus is on the players to perform and execute the managers tactics.
Out there at the moment, the players cannot execute. They to be blunt have been utterly shameful and appalling. Cannot even do the basics of football well. So the tactics could do with tweaking, and the players need to improve their level of execution. We show a distinct lack of confidence and fight or desire. If you have fight, you go around winning as many 50 50s as possible, you harry the other team and start getting things right, you build your confidence and things start going right elsewhere.
Without the confidence we are too scared to take the risks that lead to goals, we are too scared to try and beat our man around the box or slip a difficult pass into the box because we might lose the ball.
Confidence comes from results. So we need to get results to break this slump.

Martinez has made lots of questionable decisions this season. The hand he has been dealt with players out has not been an easy one but nonetheless, he has been getting things wrong.
However he showed last season how good a manager he could be. So I will have some faith that he can break this slump. And will give him some time as he has earned that too.

But it is concerning and we do need to turn this slump around. Soon at that as well
You overcome problems through acknowledging the issue and working through solutions until the problem is resolved. The players and management staff need to work together and do this. NSNO. We are better than this

Newcastle concede the first goal against us : come back to win.

Spurs concede the first goal against Chelsea : come back to win.

We concede the first goal : our heads drop, confidence goes and we lose.

That's not right is it?

Just a pathetic excuse really.

That team today was pretty much Martinez's side

The Wigan signees, Besic, Barry and Lukaku

The only player from the "dead wood" category that he inherited was Jags

So, the "this isn't his team" chestnut can't be used in regards to this result

The tactics sucked today and they have sucked for a while

He can of course turn this around, but he needs desperately to be more flexible tactically and he also needs to get rid of his "boys" (Robles and Alcaraz) and replace them with adequate replacements

And we all know he won't alter anything, sadly.

John Henry : "Ok then Roberto it's settled, Brendan gets our job and you go undercover at Everton. Try to make it look convincing at first and then slowly turn them into Wigan. Get them relegated and there's a nice little bonus coming your way."

Roberto Martinez : "Phenomenal mwhahahahahahahahahaha YNWA"
