If we're being honest Robels is [Poor language removed]. Has been, will be. We'll be loving Howard for the next six weeks. Not going to get better is it?

Let's be honest here ffs, over the years Howard has been decent, not at the top of the tree but way higher than most. This season he's fallen below his best, there may well be mitigating circumstances but the fact is he's not performing. He's injured now and Joel has stepped in, now, I'm not a Howard hater nor a Joel lover but the amount of tosh been posted on here in the last few days is appalling...Noel may be tosh, he may be the worst thing since massimo taibi, but he's what we've got . To be fair to him he's not had a run of games, not match sharp and must be playing with no confidence whatsoever thinking everything he dies is going to be analysed to the last zenith.....give the lad a break ffs... Who knows how he will turn ou after a run of games...ndont forget, he's playing behind h same defence we are blaming for Howard's form.

The luck we get,if he keep Joel In,[and i dont want him in,even a bad Howard is way better than Joel For me],no doubt Joel will get injured,we do need another keeper to be in 1st choice or even as a back up to Joel

Will do Howard good to reassess how awful he's been. Will do Joel good because he now has a chance to sink or swim. Will do Martinez good because if Joel has a couple of poor games whilst the january window is open, he will have to speed up the process of purchasing a keeper. Win win win in my book.

Martinez didn't sound like he has much faith in Joel in that press conference.

Normally he says that an injury is an great opportunity for someone else in the squad. This time he said:

"I'm trying to find a positive about Tim being out .... but I'm struggling."

Or words to the same effect.
