Might be getting mixed up but seem to recall
Everton 1-4 Sheffield Wednesday
I remember that day more than anything, boxing day wise ,as i smashed the window playing footy inside the house with my cousin lol, then made a run for it and got into the game for last 15 mins when they use to open the doors early

4-0 v Middlesborough 1995 was fun.
I can't remember many fixtures on boxing day for some reason but this 1 stands out for me. It was the day Kanchelskis came good after being injured on his debut. Just our luck.i knew we had 1 of the best wingers in the world after his performance this day

I think we injured Junhinho too.

He was in a heap for a long time on the ground.
I remember that groucho, unsy "introduced"the little fella in his own style to a bone hard, frosty goodison pitch,to be fair to juninho he took it,and always appeared to play with a smile on his face, great little player!

Sunderland last year was in some way a low point with regards to recent Boxing Day fixtures.

We hadn't lost a game at home throughout 2013. Confidence was ebbing through the club. Sunderland were atrocious. Should have been easy.

As we all know, it didn't work out like that. After the Howard and Osman freak show, it was just one of those games.

Borini, of all players, cleared a Jelavic header off the line too. We battered Sunderland with 10 men that game, so we certainly left with some pride.

Remember this one clearly, they came on a high and were near the top of the league, think they even filled there end for once but we battered them and they never recovered.
Remember that game. I remember before he went off, the chant to Juhnino - "You're even worse than Cole".

Not sure if it's the worst, but it sticks in the memory. A freezing match against Derby County. Finished 0-0. Think the wind made playing football an impossibility. Or could've been Walter as manager. Think Wanchope missed a sitter for them from 3 yards, and even our own fans groaned.

...it was, after the game lol

Memory lapse alert. I'm sure the 3-1 win against Manure was just before Xmas, because I bet a Utd fan £5 we'd be above them by Xmas after they won their first ten games, and he paid up.
Defo boxing day. As I said in my post, my cousin and I had to hitch through the tunnel coz there was no public transport running.
