shame eto'o's didn't go in, what a classy classy touch.

i agree kone looked good again. people on here wrote him off just like naismith whilst i stood by them. i just feel another injury around the corner for kone just as he starts being an important part of the team but i can't remember a time where we had 3 strikers fit at the same time, been about 2 years now.

......one of those nights for Lukaku. He wont always play well but there's no excuse for a lack of movement. I think he wasn't on his toes tonight and that should never be the case.

Thought the players done alright, QPR are good on the ball anyway, just lack the finishing.
Besic was very impressive but could have easily been booked twice today for two of his tackles. Barkley was good, and he didn't hide today, got stuck in and played with Swagger.

Gary Neville is a proper pundit. Every undercover kopite on sky so far has tried to take it away "oh it was a deflection" "oh it was going wide" and when they try and set it up on a plate for him he's having none of it and actually looks at the football. Top guy

I think our shakiness at the back will sort itself once Stones takes over for Distin. He's so composed in possession and that will calm everyone else down.

jagielka was way worse than distin tonight and tbh, he actually has been all season. distin isn't the same player he was last season but i think jagielka has been twice as bad as him. one of them needs the chop for soton and i reckon they will. considering they had nothing to, that was an utterly abysmal performance from the pair - everything about it was - they're ruining the way we play atm, they don't breed any confidence and create more chances for the oppo than the opposition do themselves.

How do we fit Barkley, Besic and McCarthy in a holding role with Naismith in number 10?

4-3-3? Naismith up top? I don't know.

McCarthy, Besic, Barkley
Naismith, Lukaku, Mirallas
