REACTION: Everton Draw BSC Young Boys

Are we underestimating these Young Boys? Reading some of the texts and comments on BBC, lots of people claiming stuff like '4 really tough draws for the British sides' and 'Britain will be lucky to have any representation on the next round' etc.

Based on the name alone, you wouldn't rank them that highly, but are they going to be tough to beat?

They're decent, nothing more than that. Would put them on a par with Lille. We should definitely be beating them, there are many sides still in the competition who are far better.

Just out of interest if we do get through does anyone know how they decide which teams play home and away first?

By the draw. When they do the round of 16 draw, the team drawn first for their tie plays the home leg first.

IF both us & LFC get through... and IF we both get drawn in ties where we are both playing the 1st or 2nd legs at home at the same time, then they take priority because they finished higher in the league last season and will play in the Thursday 8pm slot. Due to UEFA rules & Merseyside police requests, we would have to play our game on a Tuesday with a 5pm kick off. I'm not joking either, this in the rules and happened once before back in 2010 if you remember.

My first reaction was that is a very handy draw. All the scaremongering on the BBC webpage won't shake that. We could have got some really nasty teams there.
