Speaking as a fellow forum owner, it's a drip, drip. Forums seldom make money and aside from the financial cost involved do take a lot of effort to create, grow and maintain. When things are good these jobs are no problem because running the forum is a joy, but when there's a constant piss take by certain individuals who take the above work for granted it's very easy to think why bother.

I'm not going to suggest we all play sweetness and light all the time because we're all human so will inevitably blow up now and then. But when you've been warned several times already to cool your temper and still continue then you have no one else to blame.
 

I don't understand what people are moaning about.

Just don't abuse others - that on here or elsewhere - simples.

Good work Danny and the other mods. Most people appreciate the work that goes into here.

Hey I agree, there is a line and it was crossed. But were getting infractions for saying tosser (or ******) in the Ale House. It's only happened recently because i've always been rather liberal with my tongue and hardly got any infractions. I have also said worse and received no infraction.

My personal opinion, I don't think infractions are the sensible option because what if someone has had no infractions but has done something worthy of a ban, does he get banned or just an infraction?

Also it seems that emotion is not tolerated. We can't label Benitez FSW. We can't tell eachother to f-off in jest.

See what I mean?

I do too, look at my post count! I have been here for a long time, if I thought the mods were doing a bad job I would not have lasted so long. I just think common sense needs to prevail.

If this forum is so bad, leave. If you can't appreciate that we don't allow abuse here, leave. Theres others like Kipper that allow it.

No abuse = no problem.

I never said i was leaving, I said I may look for a forum where I can jest.

Don't take it so damn personal. I just can't believe that this forum has all of a sudden gone all sensitive.

You have said to me today that you have clamped down more because of certain people and the feeling that it was becoming more Kipper. So because of Cal and his disciples the reigns are getting tightened.

I just felt my infraction was a little OTT. You even apologised to me before given it to me, and I think you said it was because of recent posts by others who were infracted, and that you had to apply the same rules.

I just don't think the context was the same and that it was tarred with the same brush as the others.
 

Apologised to you? No I never. I explained that I am paying extra attention following an increase in abusive posts.

I'm not taking anything personal? What is there to take personally? Think most will agree that its you taking things personal.

We dont, and never have, tolerated abuse. Don't like it? Leave. Be sure to let me know when you find a decent Everton forum that allows abuse.
