I don't really get what you mean mate, surely you don't think he should have been actually stood on the goal line when Aluko came through.

His positioning didn't seem that bad if i remember right, you come out to narrow the angle and stay big. Yet somehow he's let in near his left foot. Eithr his footing was wrong or his reactions were too slow.

Need to see it again with a decent picture though.

And i had to laugh when he fannied around kicking the ball out and managed to find 1 hul player among about 4 of ours when he eventually did kick it.

that's the thing, he does the opposite. he seems to be standing in the wrong position and then when the striker shoots he dives out of the way/before the shot has been taken.

that soldado goal and the wood one vs leicester were identical, he dived out of the way of the ball - everything he does just doesn't seem natural. he's making the target bigger for the striker, just like he did at home vs west ham. standing so far off his line meant he opened the possibility to getting lobbed. he also opens the possibility to getting cureled around from distance. i remember petrov scoring one from villa from about 30 yards where he hit one that didn't eve leave the ground, but because howard was so far off his lines the ball curled all the way around him and around his bac and actually went in well inside the corner.

Howard didnt stop us getting 3 points tonight, we were awful going forward, totally clueless, cant blame him for that

Not at all mate. But when you have 1 shot to save you'd hope he might do it. Like say a Lloris would.

I'm not saying it was easy, or he should have saved it, but would have been nice if he did.

Distin however can get to.... Well you know where.

Why should we have to score loads of goals to win a game?
He had one shot to save tonight, and it really wasn't a tough one.

One goal? is that all we can manage? is that all we expect? Ok they pulled it back but we had plenty of time to take the lead back from them and we had no idea how to do it, cant blame him for that

So after they scored the rest of the team did nothing to even look like getting a second but its Howards fault?

If he saved it there wouldn't be a need to go looking for a second. Lukaku had a job today, and he scored with minimum fuss. Howard had one save to make today, and couldn't make it. It's not a good look.

Time for him to head back to MLS I think , he has served us well and made some match winning saves over the years. But how can his positioning carry on like this , he's cost us so many goals this season , Begovic or David Marshall for me. Joel isn't up to much either , any young goalkeepers watching , then they need not to watch him. Doesn't command his area , couldn't catch a cold , always punches.

Have the MLS rang yet?

Lets show some respect lads. He has been our best keeper since Southall I think.
7 years service and will play over 300 games for us soon.

Not gonna dishonour him with the phil neville osmanish "Great servant" tag.

BUT yes I think this should and will be his last season for us.

Will be sad to see him go but dunno if he is a mustard cutter no more
