Well off the pace yesterday.....

If he's not fit, don't play him.

Whilst not ideal Osman could have played alongside Besic (as he did to good effect V Wolfsburg) or even play Barkley a bit deeper.....certainly better than sticking him out wide.

Whilst we're at it, how long are we going to persist with Gibson being 'medically fit' before we show him the door? Absolute waste of time hoping for him to come good.

No coincidence that we won our last 2 games without Barry since his injury - and then lost yesterday. Slow and cumbersome badly at fault for setting Spurs on their way for their second I think he might be gone at the game. At a minimum he needs McCarthy around him.

He was poor yesterday but that's harsh. He's been one of our best players this season IMO.

I know Kane won the ball clean, but it was a tackle from behind. Surely the ref shouldn't have let them carry on?
It was a perfectly clean tackle. Clever work by Kane. Inexcusable by Barry to let that happen.
It was in this game last season where Barry's dithering allowed Spurs to take the quick free kick and score the winner.
Maybe in future let's avoid playing Barry at the Lane.

But he came right through the back of Barry. I'm not disputing that he took the ball cleanly, but I thought tackles from behind were outlawed, irrespective of how the ball is taken?

I think its a foul if you make contact with the player prior to getting the ball- as in going through the player from behind. My impression was that it was a clean and very good tackle.

I thought the same. The rule, that's been around since 1998, is that all tackles from behind are outlawed. Most refs will give a foul regardless of how clean the ball was won. We were unlucky but didn't do enough to swing the pendulum back our way unfortunately.

Very poor yesterday, completely at fault for the second goal and continuously lumped long balls up top to nobody, although a completely immobile Lukaku didnt provide much option

Far too slow, no creativity. Lots of people are in love with him so it will be a long while until people start acknowledging that we require far more than what he has to offer.
