I feel sorry for the fella, only 6 months ago he was the LMA Manager of the the year. All he got off Liverpool was a 4 year deal and £125m to spend on any player of his choosing. I think it's every RS duty to demand more, he needs a 6 year extension to his contract and at least £200m to spend January as well as daily press conferences so everyone can see the real Rodgers.

Quite right too.

I see Thompson is not on sky Sports this afternoon. Suspect he has been summoned by the real committee members that run the club, Gerrard and Carragher to cast an eagle eye on Mr Clever. And if they lose today to plot his downfall.

Spunked nearly £15m on agents fees apparently. Only Chelsea spent more.
I don't know why they're always banging on about not paying high wages when the waste so much money on transfer/agent/loan fees. They'd be better off using the money to pay fewer (better) players higher wages.

Rodgers.....

'I have faith in my methods and a way of working,’ said Rodgers. ‘We have been given a different deck of cards and, as a coach, I have to do what I think gets the best out of them. I have methods, a belief and a philosophy but you also have to get results. I am not a fantasist.’

He was doing so well until the last line............

Fantasy that. £110 million spent.

I think you are spot on with that, they see him as their great saviour "unjustly" treated and not backed by the board.

They don't remember the money he wasted or that he started their decline from CL mainstays.

They conveniently forget the fact most the buggers wanted Rafael out long before the end.
