ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Given that the Boston Red Sox, FSG's primary interest, just spunked $188 million on two players, it would seem unlikely Gnashers will get anywhere near that much in January.

He's a shark faced tit who believed his own hype, and has made a complete knob of himself with his constant smarmy remarks. I don't even put it down to all the bad signings. I seriously believe he has just been massively found out for the fraud he really is.

I'll never forget a RS supporter I know, who is surprisingly a bit of a bulb (but pretty realistic when it comes to Liverpool), telling me during Rodgers first season that, 'You don't go from doing a [Poor language removed] job at Watford, getting sacked from Reading, and then on to a club like Liverpool.' He also said that all his work at Swansea was purely down to Martinez as well.

Even during the run-in last season, he still thought Rodgers was a [Poor language removed] manager and didn't rate him. You can imagine what his attitude towards him is now then lol.

I don't really follow baseball but I'm pretty sure almost all MLB teams are running at a profit even with their huge signings. $188 million will be the just wages of the players as well as there are no transfer fees in American sports. Still the Rs have to be coming up against FFP with the amount they've pissed up the wall in recent years, so I doubt they'll spend much in January.

From the Beeb...

Mario Balotelli's agent has brushed aside reports that the striker is set for an imminent return to Serie A.

The 24-year-old has failed to score in the Premier League since joining Liverpool from AC Milan for £16m this summer.

Reports in Italy have linked the 24-year-old Balotelli with a return to Inter Milan in January, but Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola told La Politica nel Pallone: "Mario will not return to Serie A,"

I seem to remember a certain someone saying he definitely wasn't going to Liverpool during the summer.

It's still a helluva lot of money added to the payroll, plus they might get re-sign pitcher John Lester, who they traded last summer, and that will mean more big money. It just means that much less for the Turds to spend as not even FSG is a bottomless pit of cash. Things might be different if Rodgers actually knew what he was doing, though.

But Mario will return a 'better' player, seeing that he runs around a lot more and now defends at corners. Serie A are in for a treat.

Looking at it now, Rogers didn't really want him, and that's the whole thing gone to pot before he's even arrived

Balotelli is clearly one of those type of players that needs the right manager in order for him to thrive. The manager has to want him in the team and also has to cater to his ego in order to get him playing at his best

Zlatan is another one of those players I think
