It's A F****** Disgrace

I would be utterly pissed if that refereeing happened to us in the cup semi-final. That being said Moyes wouldn't have been stupid enough to bench there best player and only striker AGAINST 10 MEN. Belletti isn't even a good defender.

Hiddink is a very good manager but lucky for him he doesn't get bashed for his awful team selections and subsitutions in big matches. This is the same guy who left Cahill on the bench against Japan til like the 70th min (becasue natually Cahill wasn't good enough). Benched Swartzer in Aussies biggest match ever (at the time) against Croatia for some keeper named Spider-Guy or something who went ahead and put the most inept performance of a keeper I ever saw.

Feel bad for Lampard and Essien but Drogba and ref arm grabber Terry deserve this.

It was Ballack who grabbed the arm I reckon.

But Drogba, is he the height of Hypocricy?

I think so,

I think so,

Although it is fair to say if it happened against us we would be massively P***** off. I think it is also fair to say our players would never have re-acted like that no matter the injustice.

Thought Drogba really was the height of Hypocrisy as you say Ghost, and I really hope he is punished. Also did you see his reaction when he flicked the ball on for Anelka when he was taken down for the sending off? He went down holding his face until he saw a free kick was given. Held his face a few times last night, its his own fault really that his reputation as a diving cheat went before him in the game. Ive said it before, but I would love after a game for interviewers ask players why they went down holding their face and back when its clear nothing happened. If the FA wont charge them, lets make it awkward for the players.

Both Terry's reaction and Ballacks deserve punishment too, especially Ballack. I just know Im gonna see grown men acting like that at the weekend now in my league. Remember when Macherano was sent off against united (deservedly too) but he was shouting at the ref all the time but kept his hands behind his back all the time as if he was being respectful in some way? Happened the following day in my game where a player got right in the refs face and called him all the names under the sun but wondered why he got booked as he kept his hands down! if action is not taken then it will be accepted behaviour at grass roots.

Terry is captain and should set an example, also is England captain too, but god does he ref a game himself when playing.

Ferdinand and Gerrard are also players that referee games but because they play for top clubs they seem allowed to do so without punishment. On Drogba, we all know the lad is a talented forward but he is a diving cheat in the Cristiano Ronaldo mould but slightly worse than the Portugese star.

Malouda no, Drogba yes, Pique yes, Eto yes.

It really is a disgrace.

Drogba yes - so that means the Abidal should have seen red in the first half. But posters on here said the ref was good to Chelsea for sending him off later on in the game....

You may disagree with the Malouda pen, it was soft but for me, a pen. It was for the ref too, he gave a FK when it was in the area.

Chelsea were robbed, badly.

never seen john terry block a shot with his arms!!

apart from it actually affecting us as they would have been knackered coming back from rome on the wednesday...

i think its funny. and i'd much, much rather watch man utd v barca over chelsea.

Ok,

Penalty claim 1.

Just looked at that on YouTube and it looks like Malouda is looking for the penalty more than anything. How much contact was made? It seems as soon as they came together and they were in the box Malouda has flung himself backwards. I would say many ref's in our league wouldn't have given that one.

Souness is deluded, he thinks it was a penalty because the players have come together and dug the turf up. What? How does that constitute a penalty. Malouda had 3 chances to go down for a free-kick but he chose to go down once in the box. Gerrard Hibbert anyone?

Penalty Claim 2

Ok, this is also another soft penalty claim. Drogba only went down because he had lost the chance and tried to get a penalty. There is no way that kind of pull on a shirt would bring down a player. It happens at corners all the time. And it just looks dodgy that Drogba only goes down once the chance has gone. That is diving, some would say creatively, but in my eyes it's cheating.

I would say ref's are more likely to give that penalty than other claims, however Drogba has gone down looking for it, and that probably gave the ref the indication that it's just business as usual for Drogba.

Penalty Claim 3

Now this is a penalty. 100%. No doubt in my mind.

Penalty Claim 4

Harsh if this is given.

Now these are my opinions on how I see it. I am not embroiled in emotion or anger, I just feel that the game last night shown chickens coming home to roost. Chelsea players dive all over the show, trying to get players sent off, trying to slow the game down. Disrupt the flow. Christ even Joe Cole admitted that he dived in a world cup game just so they could get a physio on as an excuse to give the players a break and a drink.

All 4 penalties could have been given, 1 should have been the other 2 were 50/50, and were probably not given because of the way the players have gone down too easily.

Drogba got the physio on more than once for non challenges. He is a cheat. Simple as that, and he is the one who is a disgrace. I feel absolutely no sympathy for him whatsoever. The only person I am gutted for is Frank Lampard, when Drogba is making a **** of himself live on tv, Lampard was calmly walking off the pitch, accepting it and being a decent pro.

Agreed to a certain extent. Drogba knew the ball ran away from him when he went to ground in a delayed reaction but if he went down in an honest way, a penalty would have been given because contact was made.

What about the 5th penalty appeal in injury time. Handball or not? I would say that was a penalty.

Drogba got the physio on more than once for non challenges. He is a cheat. Simple as that, and he is the one who is a disgrace. I feel absolutely no sympathy for him whatsoever. Ballack should be banned and fined heavily also for his actions towards the referee. This is not just about Drogba.

I agree. But I though the 4th one was a peno too, but I've seen them not give.

The 1st wasnt a peno. Even the Chelsea players werent up in arms over that one.

The 2nd, Drogba is already going over before the big of shirt pulling.

3rd was a peno. So 1 out of the 4 that was a stonewaller. The other 3 IMO are open to debate. And if the ref doesnt think they're clear cut...how can he give it? If they were given we'd be doing the same.

As for Drogba kicking off. No one really grabbed hold of him firmly and forced him down the tunnel, which they should've done.

I remember McFadden et all having a right go at Clattenberg...but at least Stubbsy came over and pulled them all off, while having a word himself. That was tolerable. But running around like clown, shouting and screaming at the ref and everyone around them...then at the camera to turn it into a media frenzy was OTT.

If he didnt miss that sitter, he'd have no need to go off like he did hahaha.

Hard for me to be dispassionate about this one (for obvious reasons).

I do agree that if it had been my club, of course i would be livid but that doesn't excuse the behaviour of Ballack & Drogba or the comments made post game by Lampard or Bosingwa (& Drogba).

However, if Drogba had taken his chances in both legs & spent less time in the floor (hence less injury time) they would be booking their tickets to Rome.

Chelsea have also conveniently forgotten the two moody decisions that went against Barcalona in the first leg.

I note, that although Chelsea were robbed last night, the Police have cleared John Terry's mum of any involvement. :)
