He gets LOADS of stick but credit where it's due, Bill Kenwright has done a great job taking us to a great financial place, virtually debt free.

I know what Roberto has done on the pitch has helped this massively but we're lucky to have Kenwright.

Look around at some of the owners of the other clubs, we're in a good place.

Our aim overall should be debt free as much as we can be, as we know some our debt cannot be paid down.
Yes, what a great plan that was: borrow £30M - pay back £76M.

That's the type of nobhead still plying their *trade* at the club.

The man responsible for our large increase in profits.

Thanks Rupert

How many years do we have leftn on it now mate?

Its a terrible noose, tahnkfully though as these loans go thats a great deal in comparrison to the terms Leeds and Newcastle got.

Tv money revenue was larger than the entire year before - club revenue.

How can you make a loss on that?

If your operating costs also massively increase, which they have done (£96M>£115M)

IT'S A FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE-OFF!!! SHIELD YOUR EYES AS FIGURES MAY FLY!! NUMBERS WILL FLEE INTO CAVES FOR FEAR OF BEING CRUNCHED!!! FORGET ALL YOU KNEW ABOUT BALANCE SHEETS, BECAUSE IT'S OOOOONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

2027 it ends...so just another 13 years of paying that off in instalments plus 7% interest.

Fantastic bit of financial management by the clever people at Everton...still, it kept Bill in control and all the trophies we've won since wouldn't have been possible without that loan deal.

Hats off.

2001 Everton accounts:

Broadcasting = £12.8M
Commercial
(advertsing/
merchandise/
sponsorship) = £5.6M

2014 Everton accounts:

Broadcasting = £88.5M
Commercial
(advertsing/
merchandise/
sponsorship) = £8.4M

An increase of only 2.8m in commercial revenue from 13 years ago does seem pretty poor to me.Whats the story here compared to rivals i wonder?

Most people agree to similar arrangements on their mortgages to be fair. Interest rates haven't always been as low as they are now.

It's very uncomfortable to be so reliant on BSkyB and BT (noting other clubs are also). We need to improve our own revenue streams as priority though while we're in stadium limbo I can't see a huge improvement in those areas.

The club will not be sold any time soon, massively improved P&L A/C plus Balance Sheet, the prospect of a new stadium - partially subsidised, great manager and squad with realistic prospects of silverware and/or Champions League .

No reason for existing shareholders to sell, other than for a huge premium

I agree. Think there are a lot of PL chairmen now happy that they have a self-sufficient club due to media rights while the gap to the lower division becomes a chasm.
