Hilarious how his absent presence broods over the squad. He's like some strange ghost or dark secret. The phantom opera or actually the elephant man. He is the embodiment of faint hope that dies really really slowly over the years. Our Miss Havisham. Ultimately, he'll end up being the hunchback of Goodison Park. Occasionally, fans will see him swinging from the rafters or crying and shaking in some obscure corner of the ground before they back off in horror and disgust. Or maybe his endlessly crocked body will end up at Derby on a free.

Martinez was pretty worried about him and him coming back at all since he had some serious complications following the initial surgery he had.

Its why he's not appeared at all but he has been playing reserve games.
