Clearly something going on.

Because it happens so very rarely, you can always tell when somethings amiss at Everton. So easy to read.

We have an excellent squad David and 1 thats been used a lot recently, theres very few players that cant say they havent been given every chance to cement a first team place.
Galloway, Garbutt, Grant, McAleny, Long...they haven't apart from a game in preseason.

We have a good opportunity to take a look at these now. I cant see the problem; people get obsessed about 'doing well' this season. What does 'well' mean though? Finishing top half and out of the CL places? Great. Do people really derive any pleasure from that? Not really something I'd obsess about, tbh.

We need alternative ways of looking at what success means for us this season. My argument has been that if we improve through the season a few more on the periphery of the squad ready for a big push next season, then that's far more beneficial than winning the 7th place trophy again. I think there's a few that think that way too...or have a lot of sympathy with it.

You're not arsed about us finishing 7th, and think this year is a write off, but think that players like McAleny and Garbutt will help us make a 'big push' next year. lol !

You can't spend a season doing that davek with players like Coleman, BAines, Mirallas, Barkley, McCarthy, Lukaku, Etoo...they will be wanting out faster than a rat up a drainpipe.

No David, only you think like that.

I think most people think we are still in with a shout with a CL place, its gonna be tough, but once we get the wind behind us we can really start to kick on and win some actual games.

The players you mentioned are young lids that will be given a chance to prove they are the real deal at the right time, we spent a vast sum of money building a squad and its been utterly destroyed with injurys to key players and a distinct lack of form from 60% of the squad.

Personally I think the ship is not right behind the scenes, its gonna need a big personality to sit everybody down and direct them in the right direction.

Basically David, to suggest the league is over after 7 games is borderline mental, your not mental are you David?

If we sacrifice a balanced and successful squad this season on a whim because of an indifferent start to our league form for one full of young prospects with no experience we'd have no chance of actually winning something this year.

Surely you'd like us to win something?
