I haven't seen MOTD and although they got a corner from it, I didn't think Tim had touched it.

He was flapping about in no mans land for that one Ballotelli should have scored.

I would disagree.

He made himself big and it clipped him on the shoulder. Would have gone in otherwise. It was the most marginal or marginal touches...but he changed the direction of that ball.

I don't want to slate him for the sake of it and he was better yesterday but for me I don't even think he touched it

Absolutely. I thought he was a liability against Palace, but he was assured, focused and back to his best for the vast majority of yesterday's game.

I thought it clipped him...prepared to admit I could be wrong though. But it does seem like the ball shifts slightly.

That I won't deny. His positioning was poor and his arm was weak as a result. A few inches further to his left and that was a far more manageable shot...

I'm not Howards biggest fan as I was lucky enough to see the greatest goalkeeper in the World in his prime in Neville Southall.

The save by Tim Howard from Balotelli was World Class though.

The diffidence is Southall would not of needed to make that save
As he would have claimed the ball and took balotelli out in the process
For me Howard is not brave enough and got no bottle he's scared of getting injured
It a disgrace how he can watch that cross come into his area and still let the forward get a shot in in 5 yards out

Just cannot agree with this. I won't comment further.

Good keeper, but not a great keeper. I've only seen us have two great keepers in my life though. Southall and Martyn.

The Ballotelli chance was a cross from the left which was a chip to the middle of the 6 yr box, Howard should've came for that ball instead of letting it go across.

It wasn't like he was unsighted it was a straight forward cross.

The free kick was a joke, he went for a Hollywood save instead of just pushing it away. PissPoor!

Howard gets beaten a lot of times from set pieces by simply not keeping on his toes and it is big weakness.

He kept us in the game but we have to look for a better keeper.
