Should we break up the Distin/Jagielka partnership.

What will hold us back defensively is not dropping/replacing distin. He is too old now and it clearly shows.

And for all those, oh well he is the most experienced defender / he will come good / he has been great for us brigade.......

We may as well ask snodin sharp and sheedy to play this weekend because they were good once. Point is stop paying bloody lip service to a 37 year old and realise when the game is up for him and drop him as first choice. Otherwise this season will determine how many points were dropped when he was on the pitch every week. when your apparent experienced defender stands almost hugging a centre forward and the guy doesnt have to even jump then you know he shouldn't be made first choice any more.

Got to be Jags and Stones at CB from now on. Yesterday proved that Distin is the weakest link in the defence and shouldn't play for us anymore

I have to say I agree with that. Are we also saying nlo room for Alcaraz?

Alcaraz might actually be half useful in games like Stoke away when we play deep and have to deal with loads of balls into the box, he's probably our best header of the ball at the back. Just never ever play him in a high line.

Initially I thought we should persist. At the moment they're costing us and with Distin out of the side the past 2 games and Stones at centre back we conceded just 1 goal. For that reason i'd have Stones and Jagielka at Centre Back.

Stones is also not a right back. If Coleman is out, then we may as well play Hibbert there.

I said it all last season and I'll say it again this...
Stones is the best centre half at the club and should be the first central defender on the team sheet.

For me Jagielka should start with him. Stones and Jags are the best partnership.

We've let in 13 goals with distin on the field and 1 without. Says it all.
