Tim Howard

The oncoming player was behind them until right at the end. They should have booted it out....but why's their goalie not shouting that at them ?

Because they're tracking the player so there's no need. There's spatial awareness - the reason the centre halves are shepherding back is because they know the player is there. For some reason, they ignored him completely when he zipped in between them.

Should have been smashed away. Howard 100% to blame for the second, but the first is just a collective defensive screw up with more of the blame lying on the defender(s).

Bad stuff, but a top goalkeeper tells them what's gonna happen and knocks them out the way if necessary

Unfortunately for us there is minimal marginal benefit in upgrading the keeper position. There isn't a courtois or neuer available and if there were he'd cost 20 mil plus. If we had that kind of money we'd be better off investing it elsewhere in the squad.

Howard is maybe not a title winning keeper but surely good enough for a top four contender.

Poor bastardo can't win...doesn't come for crosses and get scored on, comes for crosses and does. That second goal reminded me of the Dixie one you see all the time when he goes up at the post and pirouettes one in.
Campbell didn't even look on the ball, it just hits him in the head. Pathetic goal.

Rather We had Robles in goal, genuinely.

I am beginning to think Robles should be given a run of games to show what he can do.

Thus far we have only seen him have the odd game or two and a goalkeeper needs time to bed himself in.

I thought Tim was at fault for two of the goals today and I have maintained he should have stopped at least one, if not both, of Arsenal's goals.
