You also have little to no idea what my world view is and by implication your willingness to believe this or similar is in some way superior because you've never ceased to be enquiring. Being gullible to some crackpots who are equally easily swayed shouldn't be some badge of honour. You're a bright guy, but don't paint those that don't wish to follow you as some sort of naive simpletons who permanently live in the dark.

I don't think it's as simplistic as that. There are a lot of well educated, very well qualified people who have to fight the official narrative to get those points across.

As long as something is labelled as a conspiracy it forms an immediate opinion in the minds of most. Yet, by definition, the official report into 9-11 is a conspiracy.

One of the biggest elements fuelling the search for answers is the video footage from the Pentagon. Many eyewitnesses testified that it wasn't a plane that hit it but a rocket. The US government have only released piecemeal footage so far, when the entire video could debunk the 'conspiracy', so why not release it? They've said they have it.

The Pentagon explanation, when you see the pictures, defies physics, the 'plane' had to fold up completely and leave a small hole without breaking windows or leaving a scorch mark on the grass in front.

As has been quoted elsewhere, that duck don't hunt...

So I would reckon on the whole these 'theorists' are more frustrated with those who haven't delved into the possibilities than being patronising or self righteous.

This phrase is among the tireless workhorses of establishment discourse. Without it, disinformation would be much harder than it is. “Conspiracy theory” is a trigger phrase, saturated with intellectual contempt and deeply anti-intellectual resentment. It makes little sense on its own, and while it’s a priceless tool of propaganda, it is worse than useless as an explanatory category.

To be fair, it was probably built by Irish people. They would have used wood instead of steel and cardboard instead of wood and then pocketed the change.

Two points : a) World Trade Centre 7 (49 storeys) collapsed as well...no plane hit it and it was not even in the same block as WTC 1-6)
b) plane hits building in top fifth of building, entire building collapses at free fall speed (after 1 hour!). A passing acquaintance of Newtonian physics (for every force there is an equal and opposite one), suggests that your normal is not a physicist's normal.

Your eagerness to swallow the conspiracy theory has obviously removed your desire to challenge their claims

seriously, I've read a book called debunking the 9-11 debunking..it could go on forever.

All it takes is to look into it, if it doesn't raise any questions that's fair enough, but it's difficult to put counter opinion to the 'accepted norm' in a few sentences

I've always found the Russian Apartment Bombings interesting. Yeltsin was on his way out, he had lost a war in Chechnya, when all of a sudden the "Chechens" started bombing loads of apartments in various cities in Russia. With supplies only the FSB could get their hands on. Amazingly, the FSB got caught red handed planting bombs, their operatives were arrested, then the next day they were released because it was described as "a training exercise!" Even though bomb experts insisted it was not "sugar" as the government said, but it was real, live bombs to kill and maim.

Anyway, The Russian people demanded revenge on the Chechens, and in sailed hero Putin to crush the Chechens, win a second war, and the rest is history.
