Eto'o is a living legend. A 3 time CHL winner with more experience than most players and i think he'll be a massive success both on & off the pitch. He's still an excellent footballer and is always good for goals. But perhaps it's his huge experience we'll gain the most from. He is very likely to become an invaluable mentor for some of our younger players, who no doubt can learn and benefit from a player who's tried it all and won it all.

Just watched another interview of his (ironically from the same day as the Sky interview post-Man Utd) and he is actually capable of speaking decent english. Weird.. why did he seem to struggle so much in the Sky interview then?

Can you imagine Coleman, Ross, Stones and all the youngsters shaking their heads at the prospect of sitting in the dressing room alongside Eto'o, they must be thrilled to bits.

What an opportunity.....

If anyone's wondering, in French in that YouTube video he said he's happy to get a hattrick for Chelsea but then he's even more happy that the team got 3 points. Then he said he is very happy to be at Chelsea because he doesn't think his career would have been as good if he had not gone there (at that time).

It's gonna be even better now Sammy - no John Terry for a start! :D

No they just have no clue about how to properly market and advertise a top five premier league club.

This ^^^ Bobby's having to do it all via transfers!
Still, with USA's sporting hero, Africa's most famous player (and world renowned and respected legend) plus some good English kids, half the Irish national team and the Scottish Messi - hopefully things will turn around!

For Eto'o to be able to sit in the company of Seamus and Ross? You're dead right Esk, he's very privileged :)

We need a few Chinese and Indian players

Yeah, the Barry/McCarthy partnership has been undoubtedly our strongest asset in the Martinez era. Eto'o is Rom's backup, and occasionally we'll revert to a front two if we're chasing. There is no other scenario where Eto'o will be shoehorned into the squad beside Rom.

4-3-3 with Rom on the wing and Eto'o in the middle?
