Could be an inspired signing. Everyone thought Barry was past it until he came to us and had a great season and likewise i think this could have the same impact. I still think there will be another 2 as well, probably on deadline day.

Have we really signed Samuel Eto'o?

Really?

Damn.

Feels like the reputation of the club within the game has grown hugely since Roberto took over. From Anichebe and Jelavic a year ago to Lukaku and Eto'o now. Happy days.

This all over.

Remember when we got Saha on his last legs. Still got about 20 goals for us over 3 seasons.

Eto'o still has it in the tank, nowhere near as injury prone by comparison, and still wanted by a host of named clubs.

It's a good looking squad.

I'm still on the fence with this one but it is unbelievable that a name such as Eto'o has signed for Everton!!!

Really hope he sways me and the rest of the doubters wrong.

Be great if he and rom both scored on Saturday then they both told mourinho to F off.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said Eto’o was keen to sign for the club from day one and has no doubt the striker will be a big hit at Goodison Park.
"Roberto and Samuel seemed a perfect fit,” he said.
“I'm pretty sure Samuel will soon realise he's got the perfect club and perfect team-mates to really enjoy his second Premier League adventure.
"Throughout all of the negotiations, both Samuel and his representatives conducted themselves in an exemplary way and left Roberto and myself in no doubt that Everton was the only club he wanted to play for."

Bill on top form. Gotta love the man

He was part of the squad that won the 2000 Olympic tournament and has participated in three World Cups. He has featured in six Africa Cup of Nations, helping Cameroon to be crowned champions twice.

He is the most decorated African player of all time, having won the African Player of the Year award a record four times, while he came third in the FIFA World Player of the Year vote in 2005.
