I think the signing of Eto'o leaves us in a relatively relaxed state regarding transfers.
Last summer we were very light and if the Lukaku deal had not gone through we would have been in a bad way. As it was we were forced to rely
too heavily on Lukaku and it reall showed in the period immediately before his injury.
This season with Lukaku, Eto'o we are stronger and we also now know that Naismith is probably a ten goal a season player or maybe better.
However, to be a real threat and have security in numbers I think RM may want ,if possible, one more and as the close of the window approaches he may well be interested in bringing in another player or two.
Kone may come back, but it is prudent not to expect much and even if fit how long will it take to return to form after such a long and serious injury.

Man Utd must be desperate to get players out and that will probably get worse. They have spent enormous amounts of money, inflated their wage bill and must want to rebalance the books to some degree. There will be players exiting Old Trafford in the next week and I think we may still be watching the Welbeck/Cleverly situation.
Of course ,if Cleverly doesn't move before next weekend he will be picked up for peanuts next January..unless LVG decides he likes him as a player. Either way I think Clerly will hold off on signing a new contract until he is more certain as to how things are shaping up.

I'd certainly be looking at a cheeky loan offer for Kagawa/Hernandez/Welbeck on Monday. The prospect of getting the wages off the books and us potentially making it a permanent deal in a year might open them up to getting rid.

You dont play for United for years by being a duffer.

The lad has a lot of quality. Dont get obsessed with his goal stats. He offers way more than that...and he CAN finish too. Much rather have him than this preening tit Eto'o. I dont trust his motives.

Welbeck has played 90 games in 6 years and only scored 20 goals he's piss poor

Eto'o played 21 times for Chelsea last season scoring 9 times

I know who i'd rather have

You're laughing, but in their day they were both very good players. When he arrived at Everton Neville was also a solid full back and a decent option at holding mid. Dont undestand judging players on their efforts in their twilight years.
