Enjoyed it Azul as is the usual.
Hope that American keeper from the World Cup turns up Saturday and not that one we had at Leicester. Up the Ton.
You're creating a situation with which to argue against here Ad. At no point has there been any indication we will play three at the back.
Its the rules mate. My favourite non Everton moment ever. I'll always like Arsenal for that alone.
Cheers for the update. Appreciate you taking the time to deal with me so deftly.Someone said Roberto would pull a great tactical move.
Another person said it would be 3 at the back.
I said if we did that we would loose.
Chicoazul said that was a nonsense post.
I explained why he was wrong.
Perhaps before posting on a comment you should read the rest of the thread so I don't have to waste my time getting you up to speed.
Other than Barkley what height are we missing from last time round lid?We had a tall strong team though and he played as a false 9 which doesn't really effect the defensive side from a physical point of view.
I would be tempted to play the same way except Besic in for Barkley.
Play nice mateSomeone said Roberto would pull a great tactical move.

United weren't crap purely because they played with 3 CBs, they were crap because half of their team was gash.
It's important to be able to play more than one system, pretty sure Martinez's Wigan won the FA Cup and won at grounds like the Emirates playing 3 at the back. That doesn't mean it's guaranteed success for us, what little we've seen of it at Everton has been mixed at best. But to say it will never work in the PL is just a bit silly.
"Wilshere with a bit of trickery, but falls over, he gets the ball back though...OH MY GOD THATS A HORRIFIC CHALLENGE FROM BESIC, WILSHERE'S HEAD HAS FALLEN OFF"
Other than Barkley what height are we missing from last time round lid?
Just curious
The reason why is because the speed of the premiership doesn't give the wing backs the time to get back which leaves the Right and Left Centerbacks essentially playing out on the wings which leaves them susceptible one on one. Plus having 3 centerbacks marking 1 striker takes a man from midfield.
It's not bad if you're playing a team that will dominate possession because you're essentially playing 5 at the back and with them looking to build rather than counter quickly which again suits the wingbacks.
It has its purposes but I wouldn't play it every week or today.
No you didn't say that lid - you said we had a tall strong team last time but if I recall correctly Barkley started on the bench with Osman playing in his stead. So even without Barkley we will have just as much 'height' and 'strength' as we did in April. That's what I said.
However if we play Naismith in the hole and Pienaar then that's two players in midfield that are small that we didn't have last time.
Basically I think we need to play Gibson or Besic and drop Naismith or Pienaar.
That's what I said.

Gibson is feeling his way back from injury and Besic has never played a Premier League game in his life. Naismith and Pienaar were easily our best players in our last game. It just wouldn't add up.
