I think it's very likely that Naismith and Pienaar will start and if so it's these games that we'll see how big a miss Barkley will be.

A fear I have is that we're going to put out a very small team which will suit Arsenal.

However Arsenal aren't playing well and if Mirallas and Lukaku show him up we'll win.

Think the game will be won or lost on the flanks - the team that can pin the other fullbacks back and get their own fullbacks into the opposing 3rd regularly will win.

Now back to our main event, Everton v Arsenal!

I see you're at it again.

I think most people would agree we're terrible when we play 3 at the back and 3 at the back is a terrible formation in the premiership given most teams play 1 up front and the speed or the league.

I said Utd would struggle this season because they play that and it lasted 45mins.

You've only paid for one slot a day mate. They'll charge you for this too.

You're creating a situation with which to argue against here Ad. At no point has there been any indication we will play three at the back.

We had a tall strong team though and he played as a false 9 which doesn't really effect the defensive side from a physical point of view.

I would be tempted to play the same way except Besic in for Barkley.

United weren't crap purely because they played with 3 CBs, they were crap because half of their team was gash.

It's important to be able to play more than one system, pretty sure Martinez's Wigan won the FA Cup and won at grounds like the Emirates playing 3 at the back. That doesn't mean it's guaranteed success for us, what little we've seen of it at Everton has been mixed at best. But to say it will never work in the PL is just a bit silly.
