I've also seen plenty of holier-than-thou types scampering to take part in the unproductive complaints about the challenge. If someone went through at the end of the month and gave a pound for every comment anywhere on the internet complaining about the ALS challenge, I think we'd have raised enough money to cure it by next week and send all of the scientists worked towards the cure on a year-long holiday.

There's something ironic about people publicly broadcasting their relatively common views about the attention-seeking and bandwagoning behavior of others on internet forums.

Bet ya they don't cure nuffin though. I can almost guarantee that when this fad is long gone ALS sufferers will be in exactly the same position as they are now and a few people will be a lot richer, and guess what, none of these celebs will give a fk but if you think your changing the world by pouring Ice water on ya head good luck buddy.

Well with a attitude like that nothing will ever get cured or done. Of course current ALS sufferers will be in the same position it's raising awareness for the actuall disease and also to find a cure for future sufferers. Stop being so small minded and miserable

Fair enough your entitled to your opinion and I'll respect that but just so I understand, I donate a fiver to charity to help find a cure for a terrible disease, do something which is a bit of fun to raise awareness and you do nothing but insult said action and I'm the nob?
