Christian Atsu

Delf always looked to go on the outside and shoot or cross, this lad will mix it up, will go outside and inside to cross or shoot, will look for through balls as well.

We should be signing a winger in permanent really.
For the most part, we test drive before we buy.

.......... i like the fume that loans create amongst other supporters too. Nothing quite like a player on loan who goes on to have a successful spell and creates havoc. Think Wenger last season and his comments.

Just don't feel he's a player of quality that will push us on,that's all.

Welcome To GOT mate
Naismith was nothing special; look at how Martinez has groomed him into a player who contributed a fair amount last season.

Oviedo was provided little exposure under Moyes to the point many were questioning, yet he was clearly vitalised under Martinez.

Personally, I haven't seen much of Atsu actually playing (bar the World Cup) so you may be perfectly correct - he may not push us on. h

However, I am confident Martinez has chosen him carefully, and that he (Roberto) can get the best out of him through his glorious ways.

By the way, thank you!

If true, Chelsea would be making £5m profit on a player whos yet to play a game for them. Brilliant stuff.
Its a common trend for Chelsea....... yes they spend a ton of money but they are still a business.

How many players go out on loans from this football club. Its why they caused a stink about the possibility of limited games with Atsu. More games = An increased value.

Its a win win situation with Chelsea. If the player out on loan turns into a superstar, they've unearthed a diamond. If he doesn't quite cut it, with the way football is now with values, the chances are that the player will still move on for a profit. Win/Win for Chelsea

Great signing if it comes off, people are deluded If they think after splashing 28 mil on lukaku that we will have the likes of 10-15 mil on players like perisic/remy that could push us on, Atsu has pace to burn that will prove invaluable in games where we rely on counter attack him, Ross and mirallas waiting from an oppositions corner to hit them on the break will pay massive dividends.

On loan with an option to buy would be superb considering we will probably have around 10-15 mil to spend next summer transfer window from the TV money, all we need now is a backup striker for lukaku probably will be a loan

Perhaps Chelsea have had this in place for a while regarding their 'middle-man-ing' of players. They are basically an agent and a club in one.

I knew Vitesse had like 7 load players last season from Chelsea...

Must be a money thing. Buy young talent, let them progress elsewhere whilst dangling the Chelsea Carrot, then sell them and make money...
