Big Yawn. We are linked with this guy every transfer window without exception. This has been a rubbish season for him - unable to score, and his crossing has deteriorated. Still would be a useful asset, but not at the price that Boro will want for him.

one thing i like about Downing is that he stays on the touchline, however i havent really seen him have that many good games to justify the kinda money Boro would demand, he gave baines a bit of a rough time in the FA Cup last week though.

Aaron Lennon would be a terrific addition, very unlikely though

He is one of the 'most rumoured' players for Everton - other than Fernandes!!

But i like Downing. Stays on the left, tries hard, has a good strike, is unpredictable and he has a good cross.

However saying that £12 million is expensive, and ideally we need a right winger not a left. So if we have £12 million, why not go for someone like Bentley? Similar characteristics to Downing, but he plays on the right, and doesnt like it at Tottenham.

downing is another player who is too inconsistant, i think that he's way over priced. moyes could probably that money much more wisely

I wouldn't mind having Stewart Downing at Everton, but for a reasonable price. Think 12 million is way too much for him. Would rather sign someone like Niko Kranjcar from Pompey and of course Manny Fernandes.

Would be a superb signing for me, i think Moyes could make him into the player his talent always promised he would be. Fair to say hes lost his way under Southgate who for me isnt a great manager.

12 mill though im not so sure i think we may get a player of equal talent for abetter price on the continent. What about that Dutch lad Eljero Eliawe were linked with form Holland is any good D.T.?

Johnson also looks a good player.
