Has there been any quotes from jose that he wants to keep him?
Either way whatever happens, some journo's are going to look really stupid

They can keep whoever they want because they are mega rich but will Lukaku wanna stay and be their third choice striker? Doubt it.

Yep, if Jose was wanted Lukaku, he would have said ages ago unless he failed in his replacement and we're hearing about one of their players from Egypt off for national service, my money is on that they want more money and no deal been agreed yet.

A club like Chelsea, if they missed out on a target, they'd have other similar targets. If there was 3 days left in the window then maybe but I can't see them changing their plans at this stage.
 

Stop this wankfest he ain't coming here, we are just living in denial. Everyone that says his coming we say they are a reliable source and any one that says the opposite we say are unreliable. Wake up and small the coffee his a chelsea player and they will only sell to us if it suits them and at resent it doesn't.

Unless that changes dramatically soon and chelsea go out and buy another star striker he's not coming and even if they did I have a feeling we will have to pay more than that 24m and they will add a buy back or sell on to it, chelsea don't sell cheap this day, And just out of interest is the 48hrs deadline still on or we have a new deadline now, other targets won't wait for ever time is ticking
 
Mourinho sells Ba on Thursday...buys a defender on Friday (the same day we're heavily rumoured to be close to signing Lukaku (even by Sky))... Saturday morning he's quoted saying no more incoming players for Chelsea... Saturday afternoon Sky sources put two and two together and say Lukaku isn't leaving....

The never ending circle of transfer rumours.

I've given up on us getting Lukaku. If so, great. I just think Jose will play us like a fiddle now. Apparently he wants to have another look at him, so that would take us well into August before a decision is made. Its time to crack on with our 'other' targets I'm afraid.
