Tony Hibbert

I think we'll get another right back.

No problem with Hibbert getting two years, he'll be on massively reduce wages and will be getting groomed (don't) for a coaching role.

Think we needed to invest in that position personally. Couple of million on someone in his early 20's. If Hibbert is our back up RB then we're screwed if Coleman gets injured!

I don't think Roberto wanted to do that because Jonjoe Kenny is so highly rated at the club, he will be 19 by the time Tony's contract ends.

No prob with this at all, will have a big role to play next season - no chance Seamus can keep up his energy levels on four fronts next season!

Hibbo will play next season and no mistake!

I think it because we don't have the money we all thourgh we would and we can't afford to let our back up rb go no matter how tosh he is.

Could be that too.

I just can't see Hibbo playing hardly ever, even with this.

I'm already seeing things that he'll be involved with the U21 team.

In an ideal world, where up and coming right backs were available for 2 million and were happy to sit on the bench for, relatively, not a lot of money, then I'd agree with you. Sadly, it ain't that easy. It's a cliche, but true, that teams and squads are built around a blend of youth and experience. Under Martinez, youth is getting it's chance, but you still need some wise old heads there who have been there, done that and will give there all when called upon.

He's not half as bad as people make out, great defender, he's not as good Seamus getting forward, but I'm less concerned about that now that we actually have wingers!

he wasn't considered good enough to start in the prem last season when coleman was out, he's not going to get better, he is utterly grim
