What can be done?

He is no playmaker mate, he is a converted centre half who can play a bit. It would have to be Ossie or Cornrows taking that role on

I know he is no playmaker, that does'nt mean he cant fill that role. He is two footed, composed on the ball and has a decent touch. All he needs is the vision to spot a pass and there you go.

Neville-------Jags------Lescott-------Baines

------------------Rodwell------------------

Gosling------------Osman-----------Pienaar

----------------Fellaini/Cahill----------------

-----------------Fellaini/Cahill--------------

Subs: Nash, Yobo, Saha, Vdm, Baxter, Jacobson, Castillo

not perfect, but dont think saha fit enough to start (20/30 mins at most- if it was 60 i would start with him in place of fellaini)

Still think were too good for these those
3-0

No but we don't have a player who can replace Mikel Arteta, we just don't.

Same goes for Liverpool when they lose Steven Gerrard.

Of course we cant replace Arteta, not many clubs in Europe could replace a class player like him. On the same token however, we cannot rely on just one player with the hope he recieves no injuries throughout a long season. Only time will tell how we cope without his loss but with a solid defence we have, you have always got chances. I am very confident we will do well without him and in time, the players will adjust in his absense.

Howard
Neville Jags Lescott Baines
Osman Fellaini
Gosling Cahill Pienaar
Jo/Saha

Alternate Osman and Fellaini with Cahill throughout the game, giving Fellaini and Ossie the chance to move forward. Maybe even Pienaar with swapping with Osman just to try it out.

Reason why is that I think Cahill should drop back at times is that he has similar strengths to Arteta in that he has strength, can hold the ball well and can tackle unlike Fellaini and Ossie.

Cahill doesnt have the vision but that midfield has great technical ability minus any ball winning skills being that Neville as moved to RB, Castillo is ****, and Rodwell is too young. Cahill can win a ball, so if we're not winning the ball or the opposition is cutting through our midfield, Cahill can slot back and do the leg work.

But I think the ball possession and passing ability in that traingle in the middle of the park should limited the chances of us getting caught open through he middle.

Should he give Jacobsen a run out?? He is an experienced international so i see no reason why he could'nt come in for Hibbo. VDM should get a chance also but i cant see Moyes giving him a go.

I haven't seen Jacobsen play so I couldn't say, Moyes obviously doesn't fancy him at right back. I think he'll be gone in the summer.

Most likely mate and following him out of the door will surely be Shandy because he is just used as a spare part.

Nothing can be done, we will plod along till the end of the season, we should win most of our Home games, but away, when a little bit extra is needed, we will be found wanting. Thankfully our defence is solid, so we should expect to see 0-0 a lot. Mikel hasnt been a huge loss, honest....................

Winning most of our home games and drawing most away would'nt be a bad thing really. I cant see us overtaking Arsenal but have an outside chance of catching Villa but we should have enough in us to cement a 6th place finish. I think we all would have been pleased with that last September.
