Hi lads, just to say I'm a Hibs fan and have been reading this thread with interest. I didn't want him as manager, and there's plenty of others that didn't too, but we're stuck with him now. A new Chief Executive at our club has promised a lot of changes, but the main problem we had before is still there, the Chairman. What we really need is stability at the club and to go straight back up to the SPFL next season, but instead they've decided to take a gamble on Stubbs. By the way, he needs to basically create a whole new 1st team as the last bunch of losers have virtually all been released, he needs to sign 14 players before the season starts. Wish us luck!!

I felt it was strange that they'd sack Butcher after he'd gutted the playing staff, but now I understand

Let Butcher sack them all, so he takes all the heat for it, and then sack him rather than entrusting him with the re-build

I'm really worried about this upcoming season. McPake, Paul Cairney, Williams and Taiwo could all still have contributed I feel

My only hope is that Cummings gets his chance and has a break out season

Good luck and all that.

I think you might be surprised with him he's done a decent job for our u21's and it's time he stepped up, you'd imagine he'll come calling for a couple of our younger lads on loan which won't be a bad thing as we've got a few who are talented and promising.

A Hibs spokesperson described Stubbs as intelligent!!!! They must have interviewed Ray Stubbs lol
Strangely, there has been no disclosure on the length of his contract???

Competitive, maybe. Doesn't mean the teams aren't crap

But it'll be good experience for the players in being in a top of the table struggle that has real stakes, rather than just playing in youth football.

Fighting to get Hibs promoted and playing in heated games against Rangers and Hearts will be a good way for them to build character I feel

I'm interested to see what Martinez does now ,he's got two key positions within the youth system to fill?

Will he promote from within or look elsewhere?

Woildnt be surprised to see a couple of players go there to be part of a competitive league. Couple of snall softies put up on scotland to toughen them up.
