Jelavic move vindicated?

I actually wanted him to stay after his Cup effort against QPR, but the emergence of Lukaku made me see how much of a passenger he really was over his final weeks here. A striker can't be that streaky and be considered top-flight material.

was looking for his stats from last night. found this site.

The only good part of his game in his last 18 months was defending corners.

I really hope he turns it around, for club and country but it has to be said selling him when we did for the price we got was fantastic.

Completely agree. It's incredible how many headers he won defending set pieces, yet if you give him a chance to head at an opposing goal he'll just miss it.

His form has reminded me of Torres. He had a killer touch, every time he had the ball he had a 90% chance of scoring. Now he's useless. That attempt against Brazil last night was a certain goal and for him to miss kick it (considering he's suppose to be a professional at football) was embarrassing. He hit like 10% of the ball, how the hell is that possible?! It was rolled across the floor to him! We sold him and got a tremendous return cash wise, he's probably worth 3million now. So fair play to Kenwright to get that much for him.

I actually think that Jela's ability lies somewhere between how boss he was at first, and how crap he was towards the end.

I think his great form when he first arrived, really piled the pressure on him. The season after, teams were looking very closely at him and analysing his weaknesses, whilst we were expecting him to bang in 30 league goals.

I reckon next season will be a true reflection of him at Hull and he'll score 10-12 in the league.

I don't think he'll get 10-12. He's got a chance at the world cup to put his worrying club form behind him. So far is looks like that form is far from behind him. I suspect he'll get 6 goals, and most of them will be rebounds or lucky deflections.

Well, 6 would be 2 less than he got in 16 for them last season. He'll score goals for a team like Hull, just not loads.

that miss that led to the own goal last night was TERRIBLE and not a one off as we all well know. An international striker should be burying that.

I said before the game he'd either fall over taking a shot, fall over controlling a pass or just kick thin air with a shot. I was not surprised to be proved right. Hull must feel robbed

Last night Brazil were caught out by his poo-ness. He completely scuffed what should have been an easy finish from a great cross. Lucky for him that Marcelo was concentrating on the whopper t*ts on the bird behind the goal and not the ball.

Harsh mate, he had a fluxant time at Everton and then his oppurtunites were limited, he had an impact here and he wouldnt be the first striker to go of the boil under our former stewardship, hes done well at Hull - dont think he fitted into Bobertos system.

I expect hes a 10-15 goal man at this level.

He had such a bad time that you've started making up words..
