Player Valuation: £70m
Just returned from Kent where I went to meet and interview Bobby Laverick for my book. A guy who represented Everton in the late 1950's. He and his wife Brenda made me very welcome and was well worth the 4 and half hour drive. Also met John Hills and Terry Phelan yesterday who were also interesting characters. I have Joe Parkinson next week and hopefully Mike Trebilcock. Will keep you posted on that

I do all my own work and make it my business to know where they are. I may meet a player who keeps in touch with another who will give me some details but other than that I just look for them. I can't remember how I got hold of Bobby Laverick to be honest. I love what I do and hopefully when the book comes out, fans will support it as I will be making a donation from the proceeds to the former players foundation. I have enough material to publish 2 books but will wait and see how the first one sells.

When is the book expected to be published mate and will it be available to purchase for Evertonians abroad?

I will be able to send you a copy. It won't be available in any major book shops. I think there will be some available on the GOT site.

i'm sure it will be a success bally, everton are a club like no other and their former players are like no other's.

I'm hoping to have it out for Christmas but at the moment I'm having articles proof read. Joe Royle has agreed to write the foreword for me

The best of luck Mate, a damn good project you have set for yourself.
It was never my intention to do it as I am just a fan and nothing more. It takes me all my time to read a book never mind write one. The players I had been with at the beginning were encouraging me to do it so blame them.
