So far so good, well in Roberto - tougher test to come next year and i feel this is a big window for him with much to prove in the transfer market. But he has improved us, no mean feat and one - hands up i thought would be realy difficult to do. Couldnt fault the mad and - whisper it quietly im excited!

96 members said he wasn't the worst but wasn't the best

One word: ha.

How do you know he was the best?

What do you mean? I didn't make judgement at the time because I'm not the person to judge someone before they start the tenure. I had mates who were fuming and now I laugh at them

Not a fan of these people going round saying that he was their first choice and how knowledgeable they are.

I had my concerns seeing as he was a relegated manager, shipping 80 goals a season, but i warmed to him the closer it got to his appointment and he won me over fully with his press conference. I love the man, and im sorry that i wanted Vitor.

Very fair comment mate no need for bragging we're all winners in this.

But just in case it went unnoticed I was in the vanguard of Martinez supporters (not that I mention it very often, ahem!) defiantly educating one and all. Not that us luminaries claim to be better, not at all .... natural genius just has a way of shining through.

No biggie really.

Got a bit 'catty' in here didn't it?

Can't we just celebrate Roberto and all get along.

I wanted him over Vitor Pereira but that doesn't really matter does it?

Rock on, Bobby!

I wasn't sure but I was confident that, if we were to lapse it might have been to 8th or 9th (which would have been perfectly acceptable). I could see in the first three games that we had the makings of something positive (and I said so - we were generally unlucky not to get 7 points from the 3 games) and, luck being what it is, it was going to turn good performances into 3 points - we got the luck against Chelsea (winning a game we probably deserved to only draw) and the rest we all know. We now know we have a sharp cookie for manager.
