OUR AWAY FOLLOWING

I always love to hear what the home fans thought of our away support, weird and I don't know why. Maybe because I have personally put loads in to going to them over the years :)

NOTHING better than a top away day.

We do get cheaper tickets than Arsenal,City, Utd, Chelsea and rs. They pay £10, £15 more not fair to compare. Fulham £40 for us and £55 for them West brom only £25 yet £40 for them.

How are people saying newcastle have good support when they have brought under 1000 for the last 2 seasons

And they have a load of bellends who jump on the bandwagon to fill their furthest away game allocations. Which club other than Leeds get the numbers we do with as little success in the last 20 years?

Sunderland and Newcastle have good away fans with the distance they have to travel, and lack of success. But they obviously don't take as many away as we do each season. Spurs have a good following these days, but they have a good away record and have been in the CL recently. In our position they wouldn't be as good.

You can't take a one off game and judge a support by it. They had to play us twice in two seasons mid week and on tv. Just like we did for them. Yes we got more, but we have a better team. The 2,000 we took mid week to St James' isn't a true reflection of our own support, as up until then we had sold out every full allocation with ease. It would be unfair then for a club like Arsenal to say we can't compare to Arsenal as we only took 2,000 out of a 3,200 allocation to Newcastle. It was one game.

Ive been to loads of great away days, nothing beats it. I must mention though a mate of mine played for Sunderland and invited me to go and see them play a midweek game at Birmingham. It was a Wednesday night and I picked up my comp ticket, anyway it turned out to be in the actual away supporters section (I was 'main stand' seats) anyhow got in the ground and couldn't believe the amount of sunderland supporters midweek at Birmingham (It was in the Championship) they sang all game and was a great laugh with them to be fair.
