Romelu Lukaku's Expectations

He'll go back to Chelsea after a so-so World Cup, struggle to get any game time alongside their new £50 million pound superstar, become disillusioned with Jose, come back here in Jan and fire us into the Champions league then sign for £15 mill next summer.

Job done.

£12-15 million, anything over I wouldn't want to know, not entirely sure he's a "fit" for us,would even rather spend an extra £5 million and bring Bony in,looks to have the full package IMHO,and suit us down to the ground.

doesn't help that his build is so big, especially given his age. but with the pace he can generate given that big build, he'll be frightening at his peak imo.

He's frightening now IMO. No one gets an easy game. Probably just a maturity thing physically.

He's not fit enough to play 90 mins every week at a high level. When he's fatigued you see a marked drop in his performance.

He needs to work on that, his touch and his heading.

If we sign him, which I doubt, he will need to improve his first touch. It is poor for a player who is allegedly worth twenty million notes.

I do think he wants to feel settled somewhere: I hope that it is at Everton.

In two seasons:

66 Prem games for us and WBA.
32 Prem goals.

20 years old.

PMSL at anyone who thinks he's not worth £20m. We might not be able to afford that fee, but he's EASILY worth it.

You'll note I never said he's not worth it x

Best game he had in a while today. Great 2nd goal aswell, love to see us sign him.

It's because he weighs 3.8 tons and he's only 20. Normal 20 year olds struggle to play that much in the Prem, but with Rom's sheer weight it's obviously tough. He'll grow into his body though and end up being a supreme specimen like hunky Distin in no time.

We've been unlucky with injuries to our other strikers as well. Ideally we would have been able to take him off in games where he was flagging and bring on the presence of Traore or the pace of Kone, but the pair of them have had almost comical injuries in that they've been out for 99% of their time here.

I see in the Chelsea one on that article the fan from one of the supporters clubs mentiones needing two striker...and also a third if lukaku doesnt come back.

I wonder is that commonly held view amongst their fans, that Rom is only good enough for 3rd choice.behind two big signings up top.

Im pretty sure he is moving clubs, hope its already agreed he will come here.

Costa to Chelsea
Falcao to Real
Lukaku to Everton
Torres to Atleti
Benzema to Arsenal

Cant see Falcao leaving Monaco, only because he got injured, think he'll want to give them a full season.
Suarez to Real, but apart from that, i can genuinely see all of that happening mate.

Would love him to sign , but it will be down to Chelski & Mourinho.
He obviously enjoyed his time here under Bobby......But I think we should be actively looking at alternatives unfortunatly

If Suarez goes to Real for big money I can see the [Poor language removed] going in for Rom just to be ar*eholes

And explain to me why Chelsea would sell to Liverpool? A team that finished about them this Season?
Depends if Mourinho sees them as a problem next year if Suarez is sold. Also if you think like that he may see us as a threat next season and refuse to sell to us. Its all what ifs at this stage
