Martinez vs Rodgers

Absolutely nothing, got promoted through the play offs and never done anything in the cup
Just the Premier-effing-League in a few weeks. That's all.

It's full-blown mental madness to do the man down. He's clearly a brilliant manager. I'd rather have Martinez, but Rodgers is undeniably manager of the season.

I'm gonna say the truth Martinez by a mile, Rogers hasn't won the league....Fate has, it's been Fate since start if this season. Look at Sterling 2nd goal against Norwich and tell me it's not fate
It's not fate.

It was a poor finish and atrocious defending. Every team has that happen to them at points through the season...Del against Sunderland is a more 'Fate' example than yours.

For all the dodgy pens and ref decisions, they have had to not totally f it all up. They have not yet. That is good management by the shark faced tit. It's impressive to keep so many young players focused on the prize and not overlooking opposition.

Still prefer Martinez, he's done brilliantly without Suarez and dodgy pens and with more serious injury concerns, but it's bitter to suggest that Liverpool were 'fated' to win the title and give absolutely no credit to the manager or team.

Unless you're @davek and bring up the valid assertion that Stevie Me is the real manager...which is possible.

Indeed. Take a look at that back line and attempt to tell me with a straight face that what they've done across the park isn't impressive.

They've splashed a lot of cash over the past few years, yes, but it takes a good manager to go top of the league with that lot in the back.

Rodgers gives me hope that we can win the league next season. He took them from 7th to 1st, so I think Bobby could take us from 5th to 1st.

Think it's definitely fair to suggest that the change in play style this year is by and large player led, but can't deny Rodgers is Manager of the Year.

Yep. Agreed.

I think Martinez is the better overall manager, probably blue tinted specs, but I just feel he has a better long term vision. Rodgers has been brilliant though, and I may be wrong in that.

i dont think that will happen unless we have a world class player that is capable of winning the game on their own like suarez does for the rs.
however, i do think we will be winning the fa/league cup within the next couple of seasons.

Unless we get a striker that scores 30 goals a season that won't be happening

Barkley will get better. He has that potential.

If we buy Lukaku, he also has that potential.

Our biggest weakness right now is depth. We fell off the pace in February when everyone was out injured, and dropped a bunch of points before deadline day in the summer. We won't win the league next year, but it's not out of the question that we could sneak one with the right sequence of events in the next few.
