Always thought he was a handy signing very good ball playing CB.

Lost quite a bit of confidence in him after the Liverpool match tho, his weakness were massively exposed in that game!

Just injured far to much over the last 2-3 yrs. however he does seem to be able to come in and play even when he's been out ages.

Can't remember what length contract we signed him on (1 year?)but on pay as you play or low wages I'd happily have him again next year. Will come in handy for Europe league.

2yrs i think mate. Apparently, only on £20-30k too. Not too bad at all.

Very similar view here. Old heads...and footballing talent like. Barry and Alcaraz. I love me some Distin...that pace is still scary good. If there were only some way to transfer Alcaraz's footballing skill or Distin's pace...we'd have the ideal CB. Stones could be that guy...just needs more experience.

Given how good Alcaraz is and how important clean sheets are at this stage of the season, it is a credit to both Stones and Martinez that Stones is getting gametime ahead of Alcaraz even though he has been fit the past few weeks.

He seems like the perfect 4th choice CB... the lad hasn't played for awhile but came on and played a very good 2nd half, hopefully he can remain injury free but the only worry I have is that I don't think he could play a whole 90mins.

Was worrying and/or hilarious when he got injured within 30 seconds of coming on. Got turned inside out by Rooney before making what looked to be a great block/tackle.

I'm guessing he was signed because Roberto wanted to go at least 4-5 deep at CB after having to play not ready for league one CBs due to injuries last year.
