Baines rejects a new contract

I think Moyes values him at 4.5 million at the moment. Hes hoping Baines refuses other offers and hones in on us. A big gamble but what a great value for money. I have watched a lot on the telly and he will bring us great ability.

If your right about him Mike then I'm excited. A back four containing Yobo, Lescott and Baines would not be far from the best in the premiership. Not bad for at all.

Hopefully Yobo isnt thinking of moving on as he has been with us a good few years now.

I don't think so. Many want him but he has had a quieting influence on the back line. Next year perhaps to solidify the midfield we will look with more verve. But you would have to like our D.

Moyes is protecting on so many fronts. Vogel backing up Cars if he comes. Baines switching with Valente if he comes. It just seems right.

Yeah, it all sounds very good. If we do get Vogel and Baines, then my only concern then is up front, with Vaughan down im not overly confident of the abilities of BT or McFadden, and Anichebe has only done it so far as a super sub, and Lucas (wont even try to spell it) is too young. A loan for an experienced european striker would be ideal I think.

vassell is on the way out of city allegedly.
defoe is surplus at spurs still isnt he?

i dont reckon we need strikers just yet - i have made that abundantly clear.

cars is 33 and vogel is 30.

im not convinced on baines or shorey - for £6m i would have prefered to try and snag bridge.

good british talent costs big money, hopefully moyes can pick up some bargains on the continent.

If we stay the course in Europe Vogel at 30ish isn't really a problem could have a three or four years in him.

There again its all in personal opinion but what I have seen of Baines he is way ahead of Nicky Shorey in my estimation and grading. I am sure Moyes feels the same way or he wouldn't be in with a shout of trying to grab him.

I do like Wayne Bridge but Mourinho isn't going to part with him. Question about Wayne again is his fight against the injury bug.

From what I've seen of him, a decent bit like. He is a good player who would deffo sort out our left side allowing Lescott to move back into the middle. Which is worth six million in itself. Add to that the pace of Pienaar down the left and you have a potential good left side, our Achilles heal has disappeared.

It will all go wrong and we will end up being gash. You heard it here first.
