Pretty sure Cabella's got a deal to sign for Newcastle in the summer.
Wasnn't Manga linked last summer?

I heard that Cabella snubbed Newcastle, not sure though. Can be he just didn't wanted to move in jan.
Manga was linked last summer. Contract until 2015, possible steal in the summer

"We promised to let him leave. We will try to advise him to not leave for anywhere. Is Newcastle not a good destination? Don't make me laugh," he said.

"In England you have to go to Arsenal, Chelsea or any of the two Manchester teams.

"If Newcastle would offer £20m, and Arsenal £5m? I think I would not sell him. I am capable of doing that. I won't prevent him, but I think he is not made for that.

"Would I advise him against joining Newcastle? Yes definitely. Arsenal, why not. For my dear Yanga-Mbiwa, Newcastle was not Eldorado."

Heyyyyyy!

I watch a lot of Bundesliga. Roberto Firmino is undoubtedly an excellent player. However, I can't really see him moving to Everton. At Hoffenheim he already plays for a wealthy club, they can pay superior wages than what Everton are able to afford. He would be a great addition, but I can't really see this transfer happen. I think he will move either to a top German side like Dortmund or to a Spanish side like Atletico Madrid because he wants to play in the CL, but with all due respect to this fantastic club, Everton wouldn't be such a big step forward for him, yet the risk of moving from a league to another would be there.

How would you guys react if we were to bring back Rodwell? Can he play as a CB as well as a CDM?

Not sure about the wages you pay at Hoffenheim mate, but would be surprised if it was more than we do like - although low spenders we do actually pay a decent wage. No offence like mate but Everftopn would be a major move for him though, unless i'm mistaken Hoffenheim are a bottom half of the Bundesliga team since the got promoted and have only been in the division for about 5 years or so before that they languished in the lower reaches of the German leagues for their entire existence before that, comparing that with a top 6 regular prem league side which has the record for longest time spent in the top league is a bit of a cheek like ;p

As for Rodwell, on loan he'd be ok, gotta prove his fitness before i'd have him back on a permanent deal though, and he's not a cb imo having never really played their before

Always look forward to your insight into transfers Don.

This is Don everyone and he watches lots of games and evaluates actual players in real life too.
Havent been as active as usual, I'm in the Marines now and theres no time to really watch as many games as i used to

But he's put Scott Sinclair there.
I've always rated him as a player, he just needs to be on a team of our quality that'll play him

Play championship manager much lad?
Did you recently get FIFA or Football Manager?
The only game I got is FFA 13 and the new south park game haha

Either Kiyotake or Kagawa in- can't have more than one japanese player, will form cliques- i like your logic
oh wait, theres Yoshida
Barry and Lukaku out too, thats good, they've been proper terrible this season
Kiyotake and Kagawa are the perfect #10s and can also play the left flank rather well. I believe Barry's form this season has been great but how many of those does he have? Box to box young mids are more ideal. Plus how much does Barry want in wages. Lukaku is simply not worth 20 mil. I've watched a bit of Southampton and Yoshida was amazing for them last season and played very well in relief of Lovren.

Yoshida is possibly the weirdest shout of all from @Don_Johnson there.

He's utter utter tripe.

I like Yoshida, he's damn good for the national team and has played very well this season and last.

Well, don't let yourself be deluded by the fact that they have only been in the Bundesliga for ~5 years. That's because they have been receiving huge sums of money from investors ever since. Not so explicitly like in ManCity's or PSG's case, because it's prohibited in Germany to sell more than 49% of the shares of a club, but still. That's why no one likes them in the Bundesliga, they aren't a traditional club. In that sense, Everton is clearly superior to them, in wages I'm not so sure. I would guess that we would at least not be able to outpay them and I think he would prefer other clubs, because CL clubs are in for him as well. Anyway, I can't really imagine the lad in the Premier League, he'd sooner go to Spain/Italy in my view.

And I wouldn't make much hopes on Kagawa either. If he moves, I'm pretty sure it's back to Borussia. He somehow doesn't seem to fit the English league... my other favourite team is Bayern Munich, I remember how he tormented the [Poor language removed] out of our defence two-three years ago with his killer passes and incisive runs... I was relieved to see him leave. :P

I hope we find a solid striker. That should be the utmost priority for the summer. If we want to become a regular contenders for the top four, we need a cold-blooded hitman. I would die for Lukaku, but I can't really see him staying. :( Maybe someone from the Dutch league, like Alfred Finnbogasson from Heerenveen or Michy Batshuayi from Standard Lüttich (ok that's Belgium). Though I have my doubts about these leagues having seen numerous strikers who didn't work out well in other leagues, these two seem to be from the better ones. I rate them as realistic targets who have the potential to become great assets, both young and talented.

Reckon we should try and sign Hulk from

A star player at Everton will end up on 75 thousand POUNDS a week. I can't see Hoffenheim matching that?

I like you @Don_Johnson - you come up with names other wouldn't.

But you are way out on a couple here.

Why do you think Scott Sinclair and Yoshida aren't getting games at poorer teams than us at the minute?

Interesting on Lukaku. I reckon he's easily worth 20 million. Remember he's only 20 mate. If we bought him for £20m i'd almost guarentee we'd sell him on later for a decent profit.
