A corporate box overlooking what appears to be a lorry park?
Do they move the lorries for when we play? Or is it like Rooney(spit) street striker, and we run round them and play the ball off them and stuff?

Park one if front of the goal anyone?

It's a massive error by Tesco and their advisors. The Inspector can't advise the Secretary of State that this should go ahead without a full and proper analysis of the effect on Grange residents lives - it'd leave a massive opportunity for legal challenge if it was to be approved.

By the way, the Inspector yesterday described 'the conditions' she thought should be met by the applicants (Tesco/Everton) for this project to get the nod:

"it must be relevant to planning and to the development to be permitted, it must be enforceable, must be precise and it must be reasonable....there [are] also requirements for obligations to be relevant to planning, necessary to make the development acceptable in planning terms, directly related to the planning development, fairly related in scale and kind to the development and reasonable in all other respects".

And in relaton to this the Inspector said she was:

"not very happy about the state of the conditions" and said they were "not in any fit state" to be recommended to the Secretary of State."

Happy days. (y)

local residents made it, they made a scaled 3d model of the stadium

Why did they have to make one?

Surely Everton and Tesco put one together for the planning application?

Isn't that the usual way of going about planning large scale developments like this?

well i see the anti kirkby brigade are happy about this latest news.

well done, looks like your getting what you wanted.

now we have wasted millions (regardless of blame ) are no nearer a new stadium , have nothing in the pipeline , look an even worst investment and kirkby will remain a n area with poverty issues.

"careful what you wish for , you just might get it " could have been said to both sides and no matter what the outcome we were on a loser.
but by far the lesser of 2 evils was kirkby going ahead.

so what now keioc ,lcc and co ? or are you as i predict gonna realise there isnt much of an alternative and then get on kenwrights back (or kirkby council in the case of residents)?
i can get on his back just as much as the next angry fan but he must be sick of the "wa wa wa we want this , but we dont wont that , wa wa wa why havent i got anything " attitude of some fans.

Indeed, mate...though not when you dont want to draw attention to how out of whack the whole thing is in terms of scale to what exists already.

If the decision goes against the club meaning that time and money has been wasted, then that would be down to no one but Bill Kenwright. He's the one agreeing to exclusivity deals pursuing this. Supporters (pro and anti the proposed move) would have every right to point the finger at him.

Have to be honest if that was stuck on my doorstep my face would be like DaveK's avatar. The more and more I see and think, this is not going to work.
