Gil has no end product; he is raw, unpolished and Everton cannot make a statistical argument to justify spending £6 million on a player who has scored one goal and registered one assist in 24 La Liga games. He's not crap.

He's not good.

He's just there. He doesn't do anything bad. He doesn't do anything amazing.

He's just middle.

In fact I'm calling him James Middle from now on.

He's great. I don't think his best position is on the wing but he does a good job there for City and England. He's obviously not a flair player like a Silva but he's a brilliant crosser and passer, linking well with the full back. As well as that he provides really good cover for Zabaleta when he gets forward.

He'd be much better playing centrally because of his lack of pace (although, he's not that slow). I can't quite understand why City play Garcia ahead of him because he does absolutely nothing.
