Again you twist my words, somebody who has never been to a game is NOT any less of a fan to somebody that hasnt missed a game EVER. Going the game or being able to go the game is not a reflection of support. Support means supporting the club and trying all means within your power to keep showing support. Support does not mean throwing your toys out of your pram and sulking.

I dont have a problem with anybody disagreeing with the decision to move, its their choice to not agree, but to not go after the move, simple because they are sulking is childish.

And ive got a Season Ticket, but i dont need to defend my support to people like you.

Definition :

Supporter - Someone who supports or champions something.
Fan - An ardent devotee; an enthusiast.

I think you will find your "support" matches nothing above.

So you're telling people how to spend their money then?

You're saying that, despite the club doing something over 10,000 people disagree with, that those 10,000 should continue to put their hands in their pockets, that they should just swallow their pride and continue to spend thousands of pounds a year following a club who has ignored their wishes?

Are you saying that those fans who believe Kirkby to be wrong, to be a mistake, and are trying to stop it happening - and are trying to get the club to explore better alternatives - are not supporting the club?

Why are they doing it then? What do they have to gain other than their football club making the choice they see as right - for that football club?

This goes a lot deeper than "the wrong location" or "people sulking" - although clearly your understanding of the issue doesn't run that deep.

As an aside though, as you think you have the right to tell me how to spend my money once Everton move, could you tell me which electricity supplier to go with, and when to put my heating on? Cheers.

I seriously doubt any fan would not attend if we did move.
Danny I know quite a few who have already said if the moves happens they wont go.they are not fair weather fans most have had season tickets from the 70s.now when push comes to shove they might fold but I doubt it.what irritates me is they are doing it for the wrong reasons it should be about what is better for Everton FC not the fan.but to be clear while I respect everyone's decision I don't think the figures do not make the move viable I have posted my view's and have no wish to bore people again

Just for the record, i voted no at the first vote and if i voted again tomorrow i would still vote no. But if the worst does happen, i would still go and watch MY team play.

So would I, but we would be travelling to a stadium that presents a far worse match day experience than the one we have at Goodison now, during an age in which you can watch every single premier league match on your laptop.

They might claim to not go if we move, but I would be absolutely baffled if anyone refused to go. It would be their own loss. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face....

That is a massive assumption.

Earlier in this thread I posted some views of Goodison, one of which was when a friend went the match for her first time. Her view from the back of the Glwadys, as you'll know if you have sat there, was that bad she has been well put off...

Other views your typical fan who will go the odd game and be put off will enjoy;

It's not really them who will lose out though is it Danny?

What are they missing?

Spending at least £650 (current inflation rates given to represent a rise in season ticket prices) to travel for longer, in worse conditions, to watch the same fayre on offer?

I get an unobstructed view now. Kirkby does not represent an improvement for me, and the club's own experts reckon it only represents a marginal financial improvement for the club - and even then only if 20,000 more fans than currently attend start going to the match.

All you would be missing would be live football and the atmosphere you get with it.

If live football and the atmosphere it generates is what you go for, then an obstructed view doesn't matter.

Me? I will never set foot inside an Everton stadium in Kirkby. I'll be better off financially for it, and the bird will be happier.

I know people who have already stoppped going and have vowed never to go to another Everton match until the whole Kirkby idea is scrapped.

You know several of the same people I know Danny. I fail to see how you would be "baffled" at them taking a decision when you know people who have already made that decision.

Well i feel were better off with out fans like you anyway!!

"im never going to Kirkby".......

Put your toys back in the pram lad....!!

In what way "better off"?

Financially?

Or so you've got more space for your Tesco bags?

Do you feel the club are better off now without the fans who have already stopped going?

I take your point, and the back of the lower gwladys is actually were I try and get my tickets (its only bad when you stand up).

However, I take the point about the obstructed views, even tho those particular photos are from the lower bullens . But this isnt the point, in this day and age there should be NO obstructions whatsoever.

Nobody is denying the need for change, but swapping it with a ridiculous setting that requires ques of 11,000 people and all the rest of it is totally counter productive.

Kirkby is a bad move for Everton Football in the long term. Less than 6 years ago we had the opportunity to build a stadium on the banks of the royal blue mersey, far better opportunities than Kirkby will arrive once the planning inspector jibs this silly project off.

Eventually the club will be sold and we will be left debt free, hopefully we will still be palying in Liverpool and not Knowsley when this happens.

I dont mind you have a strong stance against Kirkby. Its all the [Poor language removed] about not going that does my head in.

So your saying theirs fans already that dont go because of Kirkby. Its not even sorted yet. What sort of fans are these. These **** heads are the ones that dont turn up well thing aint going well. I dont want to go to Kirkby, but if we do. I'll still turn up every week.

You follow your team through think an thin no matter what.

Look if you dont go again....

So fukking what, you wont be missed lad. Your not that important. Id rather play infront of 15k real fans that melts that your talking about.

Infact i hope we do go now. An you an the rats can go watch the r/s........

Such as?

Yes, there are fans who have stopped going in protest against Kirkby. One of these fans went to every Everton match for 15 years - including pre-season tours of Austria. To claim these fans are just those who don't turn up when we lose is very wide of the mark.

In footballing terms, yes. When a decision is made at board level which is to the detriment of the team, then you do something about it. Like we did against Agent Johnson.

So fukking what, you wont be missed lad. Your not that important. Id rather play infront of 15k real fans that melts that your talking about.

Again, the man who never missed an Everton first team game in 15 years (and only reserve team games when they played on the same day as the first team) has jibbed going to the match as protest over Kirkby, then you can hardly call him a "melt"

YOU might rather play infront of 15k fans, but in reality, that would cost you double you ticket price - triple in Kirkby - in order for the club to get the same money in. Would you REALLY pay over £100 per match?

Infact i hope we do go now. An you an the rats can go watch the r/s........

amazing how someone will automatically become a Liverpool fan if they don't go and watch Everton play isn't it?
