How long is he out for? Has it been confirmed?

Also, it wouldn't be for a few weeks; we need a striker next season when Lukaku and Traore go back!!

Yes but we have the summer to sort out a striker for next season, anyway it's been said traore will be ready in around 10 days and I read lukaku should be ready by the end of February.Im sure a new international striker for around 15million (what we expect as supporters) would want to sit on the bench until the end of the season when Lukaku is back.

If your TV was broken and you had to send it back to get fixed.... If the cooker needed a new thermostat and you were waiting for the replacement part to be delivered... if the heating boiler needed a quick repair and the gasman was on his way.. and if all of these things were fixable and everything else in the house worked really well... would you go and buy replacements so that when the things returned fixed you had 2 of everything... would you do that? Maybe you would if you were very rich (Man City), but in the real world (us) you wouldn`t. The squad is slightly better and January is a crap time to buy. I would wait until prices were cheaper and I had more time to look around if I was to spend (the Summer).

Im not sure football players and household appliances are analagous...

can't be arsed with some of the moaning from Everton fans, attempt was made clearly for this CM people saying it was over £750k well whatever how do they know!? It may have been that the player just didn't want to come to Everton or to a completely new country, it could be anything. Why bother wasting £5m and potentially end up with a player that won't be playing when the injured lads are back, it would just be a waste of wages.

I trust Roberto and do you know what given the way the Club has changed this season with the positivity and things that have been going on I am actually feeling slightly more confident about the board and how the Club is being run (I never ever thought I would say that again!) but its true, I could list loads of teams in the Prem, Championship, League One that are in real trouble or have spent big money for nothing but I can mention two quick and easy ones Portsmouth and Leeds. It could be worse lads

Lost one league game at Goodison Park 2013
Lost 3 games all season so far
4 points off a champions league position
Money in the bank which is available to spend
made a (small) profit last year
Still in the FA Cup

But yet people are moaning because we haven't signed some foreign midfielder that nobody has ever heard of. Solo lo mejor

So you reckon Roberto was at FF until 10.30 running Naismith through some remedial striking training?

I've heard they've given him one of those balls on a rope so he doesn't get knackered running after it when he miss controls. I love Mirallas, but right now we have the worst striker options in the whole league

So Alcaraz deffo out tomorrow? Coleman and Distin too? Gonna be a patched-up defence again, and if we get one more injury we are seriously screwed.

IMO, if it was Martinez' call, then it has to be questioned. I love Bobby to bits like, but he showed his 'naivety' in the derby and now hasn't got the 1 reinforcement we needed before the window opened (a midfielder). Disappointed, but if we can get players back and keep them fit, we'll still be there a-bouts. Not looking forward to seeing Osman in centre-mid against City

Yeeerrsss, its started already. I'm sure in the summer we will not be half way through the season and within touching distance of a Champions league place.

Plus, no evidence to prove its cheaper to buy in the summer.

tomorrows team

Howard

Hibbert-----Jagielka----Stones------Baines

-------------McCarthy-------Barry--------

Mirallas------------Barkley-------------McGeady or Peinaar

------------------Naismith--------------------

subs: Robles - Tea lady - Osman - McGeady or Peinaar - Gueye - Garbutt - Latchford

So at the end of the season, our squad will be.

GK - Howard, Joel.

LB - Baines, Oviedo
CB - Jagielka, Distin, Alcaraz, Stones
RB - Coleman, Hibbert

RM - Naismith, Mirallas
CM - Barry, McCarthy, Gibson
LM - McGeady, Pienaar
AM - Barkley Osman

FW - Kone

That's 20 permanent players. For sake of ease, I've highlighted the ones which are good enough and can definitely be relied upon aka not 36, leaving us with 16.

Fans could turn on the manager very quickly if we lose another couple of games in the next few weeks...

You know something...you very rarely sound like an Evertonian......I'm sure you are, but you should really try to do something about your terrible trait of negativity, it almost sounds as if youre working against the club.....which I'm sure you don't intend to do....do you ?

People are correct to warn about us 'doing a Leeds or a Portsmouth'. There has been some reckless spending over the last ten years - it's almost in single figures.
