for the 100x it seems like, RM said that way before all these injures hit. 2 long term

Yes mate, but as I've said 100x, he knows about the injuries!! It's not a surprise that he finds out about tomorrow!

Long term injuries or not, we needed to strengthen beforehand anyway; not only have we not, we've lost 2 to injury!

And another thing. If Martinez is as happy with the squad as he says he is, why was he at Finch Farm until half 10 on deadline day ?

Doesn't strike me as the kind of thing you'd do the night before a match if you were satisfied with the squad we currently have. Heitinga was boxed off hours ago so that's no explanation.

Tried to sign someone and it fell through.

I understand that but in 2 weeks traore is fit and a month or so for lukaku. So we sign a permanent striker then have 3 for 1 spot

So Martinez doesn't like doing business in January, what does that mean for our supposed 'challenge' for fourth?

If Martinez and Everton want to be taken seriously then they are going to have to get used to investing during the January transfer window.

The idea that we can ignore the January transfer window whilst everyone else strengthens, and simultaneously remain competitive, is ridiculous and delusional.

Look, it is martinez' first season, we are very lucky in my eyes to be where we are in the league at the minute and in with a chance of a trophy too considering this is our 'transitional season'.. we have to be patient i'm afraid.

Alan Myers said the money was there for Martinez to spend so the question is has Martinez put too much faith in his injury ridden squad or has Kenwright put the guilts on him

The knee-jerking in here is off the charts right now....

Honestly, rather see him out there than throw George Green to the wolves. Stracq can take the punishment. In fact he loves to run past the big lugs that try to intimidate him. Their hatred fuels him, stokes his fire until it can't be contained, and he takes his anger out on the ball.

I'm still laughing my ass off for that time Stracq tried to head the ball while laying on the ground.
