Good news. But I fear it's to cushion the blow of another player sold with no one coming in and ending the window a player down...which is no cushion at all of course.

Brilliant news on many levels. Not only for the fact that we have kept the best left back in the country, if not Europe, but the message it sends out to others. Most notably the media, who have spent the best part of 2 years trying to unsettle the lad and sell him to Manchester United. Baines has proven that you can be loyal to a club that means something to you personally.

Made up :)

This + great message to the younger lads that Everton is a club that they can achieve their dreams at, hopefully Ross will sign an extension soon as well.

Great news this - asides from the fact that WE'RE KEEPING BAINES!!!!!!! I also think we both want and absolutely need him seeing as Oviedo is out.

HOORAY

It's the message it sends out, also. And may be a boost prior to Tuesday.

Bloody brilliant. Get Ross and Seamus to sign and in the long term we'd be laughing. In the short term ideally we could do with a striker and attacking midfielder but we can't have everything, plus we've got Bobby what more could we want!
