I was in support of this in principle as the only affordable option to take the club forward.

However the latest news is that with the transport question both private and public there are doubts arising. Especially regarding private transport in view of which there is talk of limiting the capacity to 40K. If that is the case then imo there is little point in proceeding. The stadium will be little better than the Reebock for example and the gapacity so small it will not lend itself to other games or function.

Have to say I feel it would be pointless.

I admit im beginning to feel the same, i thought if we have to move to further the club then so be it. Then i find out its only going to be worth an extra £6-7m a season, which whilst is very welcome, its hardly earth shattering.

But if they even think about building a stadium with the same Capacity As Goodison Park they need shooting.

I would be very carefull of what are considered projections, make no mistake aout it mate ticket prices will rise, ive no doubht the club at the moment are fibbing on alot there putting into the public domain, i expect prices to rise and some kind of fleecing go on to boost profits.

The club are juggleing at the mo trying to keep everyone sweet!

Anyone else think it's funny that when KEIOC published all this about the transport plan about 8 months ago it was labelled "KEIOC lies" or "propaganda" - and it's only now that it's actually on the Everton website from the Inquiry that people believe it?

A bit like when KEIOC were telling Everton for 18 months that the scheme would be called in, and they were called liars....

This transport plan has been viewable for the last 10 months on the Knowsley website, and links have been posted here and on other websites for people to see it for themselves, and yet it's only now that "the majority" are kicking off over it?

I guess some of us dont like getting told what to believe, we would rather look at things from all angles, instead of 1 sided bias, which in my view is what both the club and keioc do.

You see, KEIOC worded their reports very carefully and basically said "This is the transport plan, this is point 'a' and this is what point 'a' means"

The same as the Inquiry has done this week

The club used the phrase "Best served stadium in the North West" - and people lapped it up

KEIOC said "Well your transport plan says it won't be" and got called all kinds

The stream i was watching yesterday had 15.000 veiwers at optimum veiwage, have to say i was surprised, but yet encouraged in terms of filling those extra 10,000 seats.

Thing is, there are a number of reasons that people would be watching the stream rather than going the game, and a new stadium will do bugger all to solve the geographical and financial reasons that would make up a fair percentage of that 15,000 who dipped in (many of whom may well have been Hull ST holders who do not travel away)

Let me back on?

I've not been banned sunshine

If you don't like what's posted though, and as none of it was about you, then do everyone a favour and don't reply to it
