ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They played well though, contenders like good our good selves, United and Arsenal have been beaten by two or more and generally been outplayed at the Eitihaid.

We played very well. Deserved a point. Dear lord that first offside call was abysmal. In a game like this the margins are so small, you can't afford to give City two soft goals. They've got too many good players.

That was actually one of Coutinho's poorer games, despite the goal and the great save from Hart. His best position is AM not left wing, but we need to accommodate injuries and our squad is thin (apparently Moses replaced Coutinho although I never saw him). Nevertheless, our attack was very good. Suarez is just unreal. Did you guys see Henderson and Allen get bossed by City's world class midfield? Yeah, me neither.

People are making a lot of the shirt pulling in the box (by Skrtel and Lescott). I don't think there was much wrong with either. Every defender in the world tugs their opponent's shirt in every game. Get over it.

Thought Johnson should have had a red for raking someone's Achilles with his studs, also think Rat might have got a pen if he didn't swan dive in the wrong direction to sell the foul.
It wasn't a pen, and there is zero percent chance of getting a call like that away from home.

Thought you played okay, but City always looked the stronger side and deserved to win. Skrtel's marking in the box isnt just illegal, its poor defending, he loses the path of the ball, and up against someone who is a s strong as him it cost you

Of course City are stronger. They're the best team in the league by miles.

I'm not saying Skrtel is a wonderful defender. I'm saying that shirts being pulled is part of football and you see it in literally every set piece of every match.

Skrtel should be giving away a penalty a game the way he defends, he is by far the worst for wrestling in the league. It's virtually impossible for attackers to get off the ground as he is virtually bear hugging them sometimes.

Has anyone actually pointed out that a struggling Fulham side gave City as many problems last week? (If not more?)

That title has not got their name on it. That home record is impressive but it means nothing. They smashed Spurs fair enough, not a chance they would beat us at such a canter if we were to play again at Eastlands soon.

Fernandinho and Toure in the middle is a recipe for disaster. IF they win the title, it'll be a struggle.

I really don't think they are. They are there to be got at, especially away from home. That midfield duo they have is nothing special at all.

I doubt there's a neutral in the country that woulsdisagree that Skrtel is the biggest offender. Deal with it.

Just reading that RAWK match thread and they sound pathetic. 'Proud of our lads for getting so near beating City'

They lost, right? So like "yay close to winning it?" Caught the radio commentary on the way back from Goodison and Howard Gayle was spunking all over the commentary in the first half - very funny.. just do your job lad!!
